First off everyone seems to have problems with the first step which is to install the drivers for the connector. To do this you must extract the folder to the desktop for just ease of finding. Then have the connector pluged in and go to device manager and find the usb connector marked nintendo and click on it and select to install drivers for this. Now all you have to do now is point it to the driver folder you have on your decktop and windows will do the rest, and just like majic it will now show up as the buffalo wifi adaptor. Now go ahead with the rest of the process and make sure in step 5 to copy the rt2500usb.sys file from the directory it says and not from the wifi pack as its not the same file. I'll say this one more time, make sure in step 5 to copy the rt2500usb.sys file from the directory it says and not from the wifi pack as its not the same file. The rest is very easy and the whole thing really should only take 5 to 10 mins. This should help most of you out their as the first step is not that clear as to what to do. Good Luck, WD.

hello, im new to this site.
i purchased the nintendo wi-fi usb to connect with my PSP since the employee at Best Buy said I can. However, i ran into a problem, and i had to follow the instructions on the first page of this thread. I did everything perfectly, but at the Test Connection, it shows my Internet Connection has failed. I believe it has to do with the input of IP address....

here's my Wi-Fi Connector's information:
IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

heres what i put on my PSP manually:
IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Router: 192.168.0.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS: 0. 0. 0. 0.

The ip address for the Wi Fi and PSP is suppose to be the same right ?? thanks

Just let the psp auto detect, the other thing is to make sure the Network Authentication: is set to"Open" and on channel 1.
One last thing you may have to change your connectors ip to one of these's 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.2

Hey the device is called a router and this is way cooler as its a hack and is simple to setup as to follow the steps....I would say give it a try but for you just go get a router or I'm guessing you already have one but didn't know how to use it!

Vista, well like everything else I'll put my money on NO. I'm getting a new laptop with vista for x-mas so I'll keep you posted.

I tried it your way putting it on the desktop, but I still get it asking for the nintendo wifi cd. I'm guessing it's not completely removed, but I removed it in the "add/remove applications" in control panel. Like I said, I've done this before, but I have no idea what to do for this situation.

start by going in and installing the drivers for the connector by using the device manager and right clicking on the unknown or nintendo usb adaptor under network connections this will bring up the the update driver wizard select no not this time then click next, now select the advance tab then next, now you will use the browse window to point to the location of the driver folder in the nin_wifi_Fullpack then next and windows will install the drivers and the connector will now show up as a Buffalo wireless lan adaptor. Just a tip unpack the nin_wifi_Fullpack to the desktop just for ease of locating. Start here and I'll help you along but I think once you got this the rest is simple.
