You'll have to use "despertar del cementerio v4" to update your PSP to 3.80m33-5 :)
But you'll need another PSP with a custom firmware to use it though >_>
HERE is a short guide on how to use it :)

Also, the recovery mode only comes in custom firmwares and not official firmwares >_>

Well, once you update your PSP to 3.52m33-4, then enter the recovery mode of your PSP :)

To access recovery mode follow the following steps :-
1. Completely shut down your PSP (Not stand-by)
2. Hold the "R" button (i.e right trigger) while starting your PSP ^_^
3. You are now on recovery mode
It should look something like THIS

Then go to "Configuration" and then Disable the "VSH Menu" :)
Juz see if your keys work now :)

Well, if it still doesn't work, then you mosty probably have an IDstorage error (Common among TA-082 motherboards) and you'll have to use "KeyCleaner" to fix them >_>

hi guyz!

i hav a fat ta-082 psp with 3-52 m33 and am planning to upgrade to 3-90 m33 or 3-80 m33. i can't decide between these two and would like to know what you guyz think is the best.
one more: 1.50 kernel is required to run 1.50 homebrew software, isn't it?

thx

i would suggest 3.80 m33-5.. i haven't tried out 3.90 m33, but 3.80 is already a very stable firmware..
and yes, you need the 1.50 kernel addon to run homebrew..

Hey guys, I'm having an issue. I was on 3.80 but then a friend used his pandora to drop me to 1.50. I found this thread and followed the instructions but when I try to copy the Creator file I get an error "Can't find the specified path" or some stuff like that. Can anyone help me please?

Try renaming the 390.PBP to 390. Or even try putting the PBP into capitals. If that doesn't work, download the 3.90 firmware from another source.

Hi there,

What process do I use to go down in firmware? I'm running either 3.80 or 3.90 custom firmware (how do I check?) & hate it! I want to go down to 3.71M33-3 which works great on another system. My "go to guy" has moved & I don't know anyone else who does it. Any help (using "firmware for dummies" instructions) would be awesome! Thanks.

Wow I have a problem, ok I have a original 1.50 firmware psp, I customized it to 380-m33-4, things have been pretty good up til now , I dont know what happen but my emulators(like snes and genesis)
stopped working for some reason, I put them in the GAME 150 folder which im pretty sure they are supposed to go, but when I run them under game my psp goes black and then shuts off, has anyone else had this problem? any replies will be appreciated. BTW the iso's and psx eboots still work fine and yes I did add the 1.50 kernal for 3.80-m33 back when I first upgraded.
