oggnog,
not too sure what you're telling me. Am i on an older revision or what. What difference will this Kuro file make to the box or am I just easier leaving it alone ?

Put the Kuro update on the box and then put the channel data file on that way u wont need to do a power scan

Hi. Im looking for some help regarding the eurovox max ive purchased.Im a complete novice so i will explain my situation.Im living in celbridge and am connected to s#y digital using a satellite dish as i connont be connected to an other provider because my house is not set up for it .Is the eurovox the right box for me if it is could you talk me through getting set up .If not could you reccomend the best system for me.Thank you for your help.

Won't work with a dish mate - it's no good to you if your situation is as you have described and your only provider is S**

Ogg,
maybeI'm not expressing myself very well. I accept Kuro is the latest update. What I'm asking is what if any improvements will it bring to my software revision. You've already mentioned powerscan. Would think updating the software is bigger chore than the powerscan.
Are there any persuasive reasons for updating the software.

YEP ME TOO! It's picked up the Hatton fight. 2 channels actually. I have kept both of them.
Just adverts at the moment, anyone before done this with PPV? And will the event start properly on the box and not just end of advertising!?
That would be a killer blow!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi oggz
Ive tried hooking up to the pc with the a rs232 able but the pc isnt picking it up as a external device could that mean its a clone

You sure its the right cable and its going into your Com 1 port and also when you connect it and try detect it power the box off/on with cable connected

LOL i think was just telling you the answer you needed once u have the PPV Channel on the box it will come on that night for the fight so as he said its correct

You made a boo boo Im afraid to say. It is a DVB-T box and N** MMDS uses a DVB-C variant. The EV TX is for Ch**us MMDS, although I have not used one.
