I'd actually go for the Zalman at those prices. Both are excellent PSUs.

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 4GHz(20 x 200) 1.5v 3000NB 2000HT, Corsair Hydro H110 w/ 4 x 140mm 1500RPM fans Push/Pull, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5, 8GB(2 x 4GB) G.Skill RipJaws DDR3-1600 @ 1600MHz CL9 1.55v, Gigabyte GTX760 OC 4GB(1170/1700), Corsair 750HX

Well, the corsair is getting better reviews. I don't like that several people have had a wining noise with the zalman :p And I'm sorry, but a seven year warranty can't go unnoticed LOL!

I'm very superstitious. The number 7 always gets my attention. Its an omen...

Zalman in their infinite wisdom decided not to include a power switch, but a power LED instead, and on the inside of the unit placed a switch that increases the unit's idle power consumption a bit (typically from 4W before to 6-7W) but deadens any of the annoying electrical whine you get from PSUs when they're switched off.

The Zalman is 90% efficient in the UK, 87% in the US, almost identical to the Corsair.

So I spent a little MORE for the corsair name :p At least I feel confident. No offense, but Zalman (in my mind) is not as renowned as corsiar...
I hate to sound like a fanboy, but well...corsair is awesome!

By the way, the corsair is single 12V rail, the zalman is 4...

Six actually, and it doesn't really make much difference, the rails are weighted beyond standard spec anyway. Not trying to convince you, just pointing out the Corsairs are a bit expensive. Still good though, if noisy.

Anyone see the post about me "new" cooler coming in?? I did some research and it seems that is a good cooler for NOT much money.... ya know how cheap the GM is!! :p

Oman7 did you grab one of those ASUS ODD's when they were on sale?? well assuming they're NOT now. ;)
oh thanks lot, gives me a warm feeling

Whoops! I must of been thinking about something else when I said 4 rails. I know the zalman has six, because I thought that was odd LOL! Its the one and only in fact(that I'm aware of) that has 6 rails. Though other zalman PSU's probably have 6 rails...

You say the zalman is 90% efficient in the UK. Is that because you run it via 220V? I guess that kind of makes sense.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Newegg is incredible! I thought I ordered kind of late today, but they got it out once again. Guess I'm looking at thursday for my new PSU :D Which is excellent. I really do need to get things straight in my primary. Cable management that is. All yellow sata cables, All proper power connections. It'll be a thing of beauty. I'll likely take some pics :D And in the next few weeks, perhaps I'll upgrade my side intake fan, to 4 120mm fans. Given the warm summers here (don't laugh GM), I'm trying to plan ahead ;)

Generally using 230V adds around 3-4% efficiency due to the lower current drawn from the mains.
My record for delivery is ordering at 10:45pm from ebuyer and having it arrive at 9:10am the following morning. Still, living 30 miles away from the shop in question is a bit cheeky :P

Man that is some nice delivery speed if you ask me.. ROFL. ;) Sux for me since most of the stuff coming from the EGG is California or New Jersey... I'm smack dab in the middle of the states so that means at least 2 day delivery if NOT more. :( So the added FREE delivery is welcome at any time as you well can imagine. :) I've mailed quite a few packages to members here and I have sold some stuff on eBay and it's dang expensive to mail stuff in the states!!! :( Heck just ask Robert how much it costs to mail some DVD's to Cali!! It ain't cheap!! LOL

Mr green, maybe a little help, I'm from near the Philly area, I have mailed some DVD's to Russ in California in the past, they cost around $1.70, just make sure you specify it's an educational CD to a family member, also if you are sending something near the size of a book or books say it's an educational book to a family member, a trick I was tought by friends I had in the post office, you would not believe the savings, it works everytime.

They've been out for quite some time Fred :) The X25-V is essentially the slow version of the X25-M, but only in MB/s. Access time they still do very well. I intend to buy one or two of these soon.

i sent 100 verbs to Russ for 100 TY's via UPS. i cost me $16.70 to send to cali. and it only weighed 5lbs. now ive sent things to GM the same way UPS and the max it cost was $7 and that was for 7 lbs.????its a cali conspiracy. lmao. tbh i didnt even think about how much it cost to ship them to russ as i was just wanting the TY's instead of verbs..lol goes to show people pay just about anything to get what they want...lol

You wouldn't want one for games, you'd want it as an OS drive for snappy loading times.

Why not for games? Imagine the load times. Though a Raid of 2 or 3 would be quite impressive for an OS ;) I can't wait for the price to drop at least another 33%...

Game load times off a drive with half the read speed of a normal SSD won't be that stellar. That and it's only 40GB, so once Win7 is installed that's about 13GB left. You might get one, maaaybe two games on it.
