Yep should be in cable in. Then do a normal powerscan using symbol rate 6887 and frequency range 290.000 to 403.000 and thats it.
Your time will be out by an hour after this the only way to fix it, is to unplug the EV for a few seconds, then plug it back in. Immediately go to time settings, set time using GMT. When time is correct turn GMT off and press blue button to save and exit. You may have to do this more than once to get it right and after that do not unplug it, just leave it in standby when you switch it off.
Dont forget to turn widescreen on if you have a WS TV, menu, config, TV Setting set to PAL & 16:9, press blue button to save & exit.

I have a eurovox max V in Dublin on N-L and I keep loosing my signal . I have it connected directly to the incoming cable and signal quality shoots up from 90 to 95% then I loose the signal. Any ideas.

Signal issues have been driving me nuts lately, n*l dublin. Keep getting glitching and then occasionally 'signal lost'. Tried editing the freqs adding on .050 at a time and still happens....

I wish i did. Have tried a few different firmwares and changing all the frequencies manually, still get a signal & quality of high 80's that occasionally drops down to 10-20 for a second or two at a time. Right now its pretty much unwatchable and it doesnt seem to matter which freq group im on :(

Well Bhoys
Have been searching through the thread and have seen many questions with regards to whether "the box" of any type work in Carlow.
But I cant see if anyone has gotting an answer or if they ended up having had any luck with them??
At present I am receiving standard Cho***s cable 20 ch's, cable running in from a main junction box at the front of the estate.
this I believe is terrestrial??
I inquired with Cho***s around mid year about getting Ch***s Digital.
They told me it was not available in Carlow as of yet on the cable, but I could receive it using an MMds aerial, Had one of there techs around tested for signal strength but he said Signal was not strong enough, Weird as the guy 2 doors down has it.
Anyway got a letter from them a few weeks back saying Digital was now available on the cable as some area's in Carlow town have been upgraded, rang them and they confirmed that they could send a guy around and setup Digi cable for me.
Question 1. WILL EURO*OX OR THE LIKE'S WORK FOR ME?????
Question 2. Recommendations for the Best type of box, lease SW crash etc.
Question 3. Best known supplier, Don't wana buy a clone.
Thanks in advance for all/any replies.

Thanks Ogg
But what I am trying to say is that Ch***s "say" they are NOW supplying Digital over the cable to my area, so no need for MMDS.
Would the eurovox 2008 TX be suitable for Cable digital also??
Thanks Again

Hi, just ran into a problem with my Euro vox max v and hope someone will help. I unplugged the box to show a friend and when I plugged it back in one transponder of channels was missing.
I suspect that it was my fault for not naming the channel heading when I added the transponder manually as it didn't show up on the original full system scan.
Now when I try to rescan on the same freq. I am getting "invalid freq. and symbol rate". I have tried adjacent frequencies but with the same result.
The missing channels still show as having a good signal on the info button but show a "no signal" when viewed normally.
Help!

freq's for ch**** Limerick
274.000 371.000
282.000 378.000
290.000 386.000
298.000 394.000
306.000 410.000
314.000 426.000

to add these freq's you need to
go to installation

red button add channel
enter freq and symbol rate 6875
press ok, then repeat these steps till all freqs added. when they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu. press the red button for auto scan. will do a scan an all the freqs entered and should hopefully give you 138 channels.or just do a full power scan with the yellow button
best of luck

Thanks for that, will go through it again. If anyone has the freq. for bbc1 I can just add that which would be a big help as I'm up to 200 channels with all the doubles!

I tried those freq's but the missing channels are still gone. I will post the working freq's below which work for ch*r*s cable Limerick city.
I'm pretty sure that the missing transponder was 427mhz. but I can't find anything there now.
My working channels are 364 388 372 380 348 444 411 396 324 356 340 371 355 339 363 410.
There are some duplicate channels which I suppose come from adjacent freq's.
