Actually, couldn't send it dave, kept getting a delivery failure notice.. can you only accept files under 1mb or something? can't work out why it's failing.. never mind though, that other guy's link will work out hopefully

Actually, Gmail's security wont accept .exe files because they think it's a virus. I didn't even think about that.

Have you thought about signing up with some like yahoo.. i'm with them and they're great, 2Gbs mailbox limit and can send and recieve upto 10mb single files.. don't get any junkmail like with a certain hot one, LOL.. and they have spamfilters and viruscheckers etc..

might be worth looking into.

Yeah there are plenty of email providers which allow the transfer of .exe files.

Ive made a perfect backup(including network play) with these steps/proggies:

1. Extract DNAS ID from original using Disc ID Utility
2. Extract ISO from original game disc using DVD Decrypter set in ISO Read Mode
3. Patch DNAS ID into iso using windip
4. Burn patched ISO onto Ritek DVD-R at 4x using DVD Decrypter is ISO Read mode
5. PLAY and ENJOY !

2. Q. Does the type of media I use matter?
A. YES: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/3/240341
If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Sony or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, etc.

'4, start a new compilation with Nero UDF/ISO, copy all files as they appear in iso buster and burn.'

Hey mate, how do you get to change the file around in Nero so it looks the same as iso buster, the the CNF and DATA folders are in the wrong order and I cant get them to swap.

Cheers

Nero automatically alphabetizes the files as you drag them in. It will burn them in the order you drag them in though.

Lol yeah I was playing FF8, but since I got my modded PS2 back, I've been playing Soul Reaver 2 and NHL 2006 non stop. Rob&Keri I think you misunderstood me. Nero will put the files in alphabetical order no matter what you do, but that doesn't matter. It burns them in the order you drag them into Nero. Burn your rebuild at 2x. It should work fine. Ritek is good media, what I'm using for now until my TY's arrive Monday. Off topic, but I have a v.4 PS2 modded with a Matrix Infinity as well. Just thought it was weird we have the same PS2, chip, and media.

Tokijin, I wasn't sure what Chip I had until the other day, had to pull the machine apart to look at it. I had bought the consol second hand ages ago and forgot what chip was inside.

Have tried and failed with BFII, have loads of coasters now. Sniper put the dna$ code in an earlier post (xx xx 09 30 BC) but I can't patch it without the first two sets of numbers.

I've tried to download the disc utility but the site lets me register but then blocks my ip address so I cant download it. I've been trying this since late last night. Seeing as you've got the same chip and media as me any chance letting me know Exactly how you did yours.

Cheers mate

OK.

Extracted with DVD dycrypter, use ISO buster, got rid of Spanish and Italien files from 'DATA>_LVL_PS2_MOVIES'.

Burnt with DVD dycrypter...................and another coaster

Oh I don't have this game. Sorry if I mislead you in any way. You shouldn't technically need to rebuild it since you have a modchip, but some games are a pain even with one. I rebuild all EA sports games, so as to avoid making coasters. You know DNA's are necessary for online play only, right? The first four sets of numbers are random hexdecimal. Meaning get a hex randomizer, or simply guess any number from 0-9 or any letter from A-F. That should work fine. Most people get it on their first attempt. Here's a patching tutorial:
21. Q. How do I patch DNA's?
A. http://www.ps2nfo.com/on-line.html I recommend using Windip over Winimage.

Got loads of Back-ups and never had a problem with this chip, I have never patched or rebuilt any game before and they all play. I dont play online with the PS2.

So if someone has a chip and a working back-up of battlefront II can they let me know exatly how and what media they used. As said before it doesn't need to be played online.

You can pm me if needed, but I really want a backup of this game.

Cheers

Think so, I've added 4 files, one for each one I changed.

First time I did it with decrypter, read then write (which is how I do all my games). I have tried rebuilding it with iso builder then burning with Nero. I have tried taking the Spanish and Italien files out, but nothing helps. They are all Coasters now.

None of them work, they try to boot then go into the Disc and memorey card menu.

i got that when i done the rebuild and change the system file but that seems to be working for some people im asuming you did remove the moives after you made a notepad fine, you did press spacebar once so i gives you 1kb rather than 0
