Sounds like you have no power from your lead.
Check fuse in plug top.
Barm, the power is there, ive flashed dozens and never seen this happen before, its new and powering up ok and showing red light and showing ---- on display but just wont flash, i think i will just send it back for replacement, dont think theres a quick fix on this, thanks for your reply Barm.
Sounds like a return alright!

Hey everyone,

Just bought a faulty eurovox 2006......the guy said the only problem was it displayed NO SIGNAL all the time.

I believe this is incredibly easy to solve but then again could be a pain in the arse to get going!

Anybody think this can be solved?

That would be a tuner problem.Look at my next post to see my observations.

Scouser,
I have a number of obversations for you.You seem to be a man in the know so I am interested in your observations:
1. I have got some faulty boxes with tuner problems but if I put on the 15/10/07 software box works fine.I jtagged 1 black box with a tuner back to a red box and this solved the tuner problem also using the red unified flash loader.
Can all red boxes be jtagged to black boxes.I have done a couple lately with no problems.
Anyone else found this out.

Yep some boxes have problems with Kuro 2 and reverting to Kuro 1 will fix some. Regards the changing of tsops to each box yes you can do that as the tsop is just a chipset bios, but I tend to try and keep tsops to their orignal box type for future updates. And tuner drivers do differ.

Although its good to experiment too :)

Dont think so as the TX is for Ch**us MMDS only.

Thanks for that Scouser.Actually that black to red box is showing a bit of freezing so maybe the tuner is going after all.

Can anyone help me here.
I have two Cho*us connections 1 down stairs and 1 upstairs.
I got a Eurovox 2008 Max V at the weekend.
Works Great down stairs but i want to be able to watch my Ch&rus upstairs. As it has its own connection with Chorus cable box.
When i turn it on i see half of the screen and jumps all the time.

The question i have is it ok to watch the Eurovox down stairs while watching cho*us upstairs because since the weekend i can't !!

Does anybody know how to sort this...i have a eurovox08 and its constantly staying on "service unknown ". I have reloaded the software both Kuro 1 and 2.Reloaded the channel list and even went to the bother of reloading the tsop in case it was a problem with that. The box picks up all 13 frequencies ok but cant find any channels on them when i do a power scan, and i have tried resetting factory default a couple of times also.I'm beginnig to think i will have to post it back to the guy i bought it off.If anybody knows a solution id be very grateful.

Try re-flashing without a channel list and then do a powerscan.

Thanks Barm but i've already tried it.It finds the 13 frequencys but is unable to find any of the channels on each frequency .Quality and frequency levels are both about 85% so they seem ok aswell. When i try another box in its place that works perfectly.

Have read through the thread and some really useful tips here. Have to ask a question mainly due to my lack of any technical skills and hoping the forum can help

I recently got a Euro-vox Max V 2008 for christmas so did the misses

She lives in Newbridge which is on Ch0%us and I live in North Kildare which is also on Ch0%us. Plugged in the machine and started scanning and no channels were found

I am doing something really wrong. is there some user guide i can be directed too

Did read through this forum, got lost about page 11

Any help appreciated

First are you sure your putting the cable into the RF-IN socket instead of the TV/VCR and then do a power scan
