Ex ntl and ex chorus are different cable networks.
Create a new bouquet via the correct services.xml.

I would recommend sticking on a complete new image, I have dublin ones posted up and it has all the services files etc ready to go for ntl dublin. Just load up and put on rte2 channel 2, this will show if FTA is working, then flick to RTE1 and wait for up to 20mins for it to decode.

Most images I get on boxes from germany are crap, probably fine there but not tweaked for UK or Ireland.

I recommend blade for sagems, and commando 8.2 for nokias, I will be posting up a dublin 8.2 on that linked page soon.

Latest cables/services/bouquets are here

I have seen the setanta screen issue on 2 different pace boxes. You could probably get it to happen on a dreambox too. Go to setanta and mess about with your dreambox settings, 16:9 should get you the problem.
no absolutley perfect no matter what setting,I cant get it to show the folding screen
here are guys talking about it on the pace

You know how it happens ... when generosity gets the better of reason.

I offered to flash someone's Sagem 1X dbox. I used Image Flash Assistant and Blade_Trinity_V2_Dublin_Sagem_1x.img over a LAN cable (checked could FTP first). Everything seemed to go fine from the PC end so I then rebooted the dbox.

Now nothing comes up on the scart output display. Unfortunately the LCD is too striped to read what it's saying (may be a stats table). I also can no longer access via LAN cable. I did the usual things (like the up arrow and standby reset sequence) but to no avail.

Can anyone help in getting me back to where I was? And has anyone else used that image file successfully?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Paul for your quick reply.
I'm fairly certain that the box is now in debug mode.
I've tried using IFA with a crossover LAN cable.
It won't start to send, the underlying log says there's a problem pinging the box.
I read the box should respond to any ping in debug mode.
Any ideas?

During flashing there is nothing which can answer pings.
It looks like something is blocking the network at your pc.
Without nullmodem cable you cannot see whats going on.

I am using a crossover cable (nullmodem to me means using the phone port which I'm not) plugged straight into a PC card that has nothing else on it and the no other active LAN cards. I can see the Boot Manager programme senting out ARP requests but the dbox is not responding.

Ahh, I know what your mean. A crossover cable for the serial ports. Unfortunately I don't have one. Is there any way to use the crossover LAN cable? I'd read elsewhere that Boot Manager would use ARP to get an IP address from the Dbox and then do the transfer. I thought I was missing something simple in those steps.

The box is sending bootp requests and has to start the communication and asking for a IP.
If winxp firewall, av soft, popup blocker or such thing else blocking that requests nothing happens.
