hey all, just wonder if anyone is experiencing this, its alsmost a daily occurance that the codes need to be updated automtically with the message "please wait codes being updated" and can take up to 20mins,when the picture comes back it gives a message to "please insert your smart card". I am on NThell cable in Dublin north using a eurovox max v. please advise.

yeah i am seeing the same thing at the moment. I reckon NTHell are just trying to wreck heads at the moment and are constantly messing with the freq's due to all the media coverage of the boxes recently. As stated before i just let it auto update on sly sports 1 and it works fine after a min or 2.If not unplug and do a fresh autoscan and it should do the job, though u'll have to set up your epg time again unfortunately. I'm dub north as well so it might be just our area.

No need for an autoscan, if it gets caught in an update loop, just unplug and then put it on Sly sports 1. And yes as you said you have to fix the time again. But TBH simply put into standby do not unplug turn back on again and onto Sly sports 1 and it will update nearly 99 times out of a 100.

well after lots of pissing around i have finally got my eurovox max v set up and working.
i'm in the kildare area and on ch***.
i had to manually set the codes as per tombull82's post and also used the various hints etc on this thread, especially scouser's.
total amount of channels on ch*** is 88.
when scanning you will get up to 200 but most are duplicates.
just sort by alpha and delete dupes.
thanks for all your help guys. my limited knowledge is available for all.
