Got my Eurovox Max set up last night thanks to the codes on this forum.
Fairly impressed with it so far compared to the d-box.But the d-box is easier and faster to set up the stations in your preferred order.
I'm with Chorus digital (not mmds) in North Dublin and picked up about 120 stations.The only channels I seem to be missing are the Disney channels and Setanta Ireland.Do I need to do a manual scan for these?

thanks
Are you on Chor*s Cable or Chor*s MMDS
hi there i have the basic chorus digital package. hope that helps. any info would be greatly appreciated.
make sure your cable is in the RF_IN connection on he box and set your symbol rate to 6875 and then do a power scan which is the yellow button in installation
but
thanks for the reply but still no joy. i put the symbol rate onto 6875. should i have the start and stop rates at anything in particular? i had the mode on normal and 8 steps selected. am i doing anything wrong?
Go into my link below therre is a setup manual handy for ya
you dont have to put the codes in once you have the firmware on the box and do a power scan it will auto code its self
where do i put these codes into?
00 = 04 F7 F5 C8 12 69 BB A7
01 = 90 78 F5 4E B1 F9 8C 8B
you dont have to put the codes in once you have the firmware on the box and do a power scan it will auto code its self
but when i do a power scan all channels just say no signal. sorry for all questions but i'm quite clueless as to wheter i am doing something wrong or possibly i may not be able to use box in laytown?
Does it pick up any TP's in the scan
TP's come up as 000 so presumably not.

Fair enough Ogg, but I did always assume that it was MMDS, or even analogue to some extent but if people have them working well it must be upgraded.

Don't think so Ogg Kuro was pretty good so we may have to wait for the 2009 box, which will probably be out in a month or two LOL, due to the latest clones :)

Can I connect my original pace box to another TV from a splitter and have the eurovox max connected to the other leg of the splitter (ie two TV's). Also I heard that N*L can see that you have a extra connection when its done like this. Is that True???
Cheers for now,

Some parts of Wicklow are a bit dodgy as there is still analogue in some parts and others are fed from a communal N** MMDS mast, (thats not bad as it will work of that), only way to find out is give it a try.

Sounds like as said MMDS from a communal mast fed onto the local cable network, but is it Ch**us or N** MMDS,(as you know it wont work on Ch**us MMDS), have to try it to find out. Sorry have to head off for the day let me know how you get on.

Try both boxes downstairs "from splitter with smaller length of digi coax cable" if they work, then your signal strength is to low - if they don't work then you will probably have a poor quality splitter, also make sure you have good connections on the cable, it's a process of elimination. (you need good quality splitter and connections all round)

Hi jimbo2502, It is better to stick to one thread with your queries, as I see fergus as already advised you on a different thread, saves confusion, but still check it out and eliminate.
