there's a site called torrentskickass that specializes in dvd torrents.. you have to be a member /sign up to gain access to the torrents though.. which is why I wont use that site.. google for torrentkickass since I dunno if I can post the url here ;)

Hey there people. Anyways Bit Torrent rules.. I'm downloading things fast and its pretty reliable for me. Only thing i wanted to ask bout was:
since Bit torrent needs TCP ports 6881 (i think) To 6991(or something like that)I had to use port forwarding (under a hardware firewall) and it all worked well. But i just did it for one port. Would it affect the speeds and make it faster if i did the whole port forwarding thing to ALL Those TCP ports. now I know this doesn't sound technical and i really don't know how to explain it but i hope you guys can help me out.

Forward ports 6881 to 6999 and you will be flying at full speed. I get over 1 Mbps on some downloads on my 2 Mbps line which is good considering there are ppl uploading and so using your bandwidth. If you use TCP you can limit the uploads to 1 kbps till you get the file and then seed it later at unlimited bandwidth. This way you aren't leeching all the time.

suprnova probably is having server issues again or their trackers went down again. happens now and then, give em about a day or so to clean up the mess.

I have been downloading all day, it has been ok. Maybe you are trying the wrong site, I have several links which I use and normally get on it with one or the other. This one is working as I type, I wont give the whole url as I don't know if I am allowed (Mods, please delete this post if it's against the rules)

I tried to use BT but whenever my upload speed goes past 20KB/sec my computer restarts, which is kind of a pain as you can imagine, I use a P4 processor someone told me that its because I use a P4 that it does this. Has anyone else heard of this problem? maybe have any ideas on how to fix it because I would really like to use BT as emule is very slow.
Thanks

I've been using the TorrenTopia client for a week or two and it's my favorite client so far. It has built in torrent search and web browsing. It also allows you to stop the downloading while keeping the file in the window so you can resume easily.

I have had trouble resuming in Bit Torrent, the file that should be downloading is nearly 1500MB and without closing Bittorrent the download got to 681MB but when i started downloading again it still says 43% up the top but when it downloads it doesn't add to the file... nothing happens.
yesterday it got over 100MB done but the file or the % did not change.

I have a p4 processor and my computer doesn't restart. I have 6 downloads going on now. I do notice that people upload from me far faster than I can download.
