hi all
mines been working snce last night since installing the new keys.
firstly.
why would i need to turn off the auto updater as surely the old keys wouldnt work if new ones were generated again my VM.
secondly , wouldnt we need the new keys so that people could edit the key and the odd digit.
i understand that the keys genrated were wrong but if we dont know when they are generated we wont know when to correct them.
can someone please advise before i start to bugger around with the Dbox settings as it is pretty confusing for a simple mortal such as me.

use the instructions in the step 10 guide.
make sure auto update is disabled.
and change the cam.
this is how to get the dbox up n runnin again.
im up for work just now and mines has been fine from 10:00pm last night.
good luck guys in finding an image to sort this all out!

can any one help please iv downloaded bigmaq tool bar but its only got yesterdays code i entered them any way but when i go to change my soft cams i cant find it i can go into emu selection and change them but ive got no mgcam ive got evo cam, evo cam alternative camd 2, and sbmcamd has any one got any idea what i should do

Sean85, the keys from yesterday are still working here, (N*L in South Wales). Have you disabled the autoupdate on your box, (there is a description back in this thread somewhere...basically you change the AU to 00 in one of the files and save). If youve done that then change the keys to those from the toolbar, then save again. This got mine working and I didnt have to change any cams, (I havent changed mine from evocam through all this).
What I'm trying to say is that I dont think you need to change the cams, or at least I didnt on mine.

cheers m8 i turned of my auto update changed the keys but still nothing ill just keep checking bigmaq for updated codes thanks for your help

iv had my box on since 3pm yesterday iv not changed any cams not turned of any auto updates only put the codes in thats it.
but the ones we have got are only temp beware of that
im in the process of getting new codes that will sort it just every1 just sit tight
its all a waiting game for us

first download bigmaq toolbar that gives you the codes
this is how i got my DBOX working -
1 - press the blue button on your DBOX - and go to option 2 Tuxbox commander.
2- then scroll down to the option that says "var" and press ok
3- scroll down to "keys" and press ok
4- scroll down to "keylist.txt and press 4 (to edit)
5- If your like me and are in the Pure NTL area your codes will start like N 5401 00 etc etc, press ok on the 1st key which starts with N 5401 00
6 - Type in this key after 00 - enter your key code
7- press ok to exit then go to the key which starte "N 5401 01"(your area code)
8 - type in this key after 01 - enter your key code
9 - Press ok to exit then press the button under your power button (under the orange button) and save changes when asked.
After that you need to deactivate your auto update because if you dont the channels will not stay on. So press the blue button again click on sportster then click on emu settings,evocamd and then emu/auto update and deactivate. Then reboot the dbox and hopefully it should work.

i have looked at my codes in my box they updated the 00 code at 23.00 last night but stayed the same,but the codes on my comp show 05.00 in the morning when they updated so the update of the code has not affected the code i put in,
plus when they do go off its only 1 number or letter in the 00 code that changes
i change mine by ftp drag the good code from laptop drop in dbox unplug it and back in up running again and have been since 3pm yesterday without a change

I live in Bradford and im having problems, i changed the keys in both softcam and the keylist and still no joy, where am i going wrong??

2)can any with a dbox that is working tell me wht roms they have enabled or disabled?
my are all disabled when i change them and reboot the go back to disabled again????????

In Dublin area, I have rom 7 enabled, all others disabled. Have a look in your keylist.txt and see what roms its referring to.

i disabled all roms but 7 saved all setings rebooted the box
now all roms are disabled and this is whats in my keylist
