Well what can i say this has really put a spanner in the works hasnt it, looks like i was stuck in the first place for a reason, I cant even get any keys to work not even for a min, VM are looking top dogs at the min, and i dont have a clue about my dbox!! may aswell throw it in the bin!! im not technically minded atall.
I used the Bigmaq keys and put them in the keylist and the softcam files but still no joy, seems im out of my depth.
Hopefully someone with einstein brains will come up with a soluition.

to be honest i would sell your dbox on ebay before the majority of people click on theyr not 100% anymore and spend the money on buying a chipped v box! The cost of the box was defo worth it for how long iv had it tbh!
Some big bods from vm are probably subscribed to this thread anyway watching us all squerm haha

If you have ROM7 enabled then its ROM7 you need in your keylist. Take out the other lines and leave in N 5401 01 and N 5401 00 with ;ROM7 at the end.

there is a solution the guy we got ours off of has new software for it tried and tested wi others and back to full workin order so i have been told, mine is going away today to be sorted but he's raking in the cash as he's charging £25 to to sort the bloody thing will let u know how it goes on return of box fingers crossed oh there must be a simple way around this problem as a still have old chipped analogue cable box and it still works seems it's a digital thing

Right got them again you have to enter the new key codes of BigMaq tool bar and re do it all again pain i know but still at least all channels back ps remember to edit them and re-start softcam on a free to view channel not a locked one ;)

If your dbox is plugged into a router make sure DHCP is on in the dbox network settings. if u still cant connect to it get your self a null modem cable for about a fiver from maplins and use the 'how to flash using only a null modem cable' guide from http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/4162681/bd142632/sharing.html

Whne u change ur keylist.txt files u need to CHMOD 755 them in an ftp program to stop them changing back to the public keys as far as i know

On mine, I found that a click on the red button to save the keys does NOT work, you have to actually move the highlight to the SAVE key then press OK.
To check if the connection to your box from PC is working, click start, run, cmd, then type ping IP address of dbox eg
ping 192.168.0.24
you should get a reply from the dbox if all is done right.

Is there any codes for VM in the Glasgow area yet?

Also the easiest way to flash your dbox is to download flash assistant from hallenberg.com This worked for me even when FTP wouldnt.

im running team commando 5.0 snapshot, and having megga problems trying to get this to work, any ideas guys or do i need to update the whole thing ?? and if so what would you recomend ??

Can someone please provide a link to to update the my dbox software? I'm currently using Sportster Pro 1.02 which was last updated in November 2005. Also what is the best software available? If there is already a thread for this please just provide a link.
Nothing worse than the same questions repeated all the time!

My dbox has andromeda v2.0 image but almost eveyrthing is disabled on it except for rom 7 and 10. i cant seem to enable emus or roms and cant even save after changing the keylist.txt file( which is currenly blank) after modying it with remote. Any help much apprecated
no problems managed to get everything soughted. All you need to do if you have a simillar porblem is just save a copy of the image and reflash the copied image. I think it enables all the defaults settings and keys etc. You then do as mentioned earlier and update the keylist.txt file

Had a dbox2 with sportster image
Disabled auto update
edited keylist.txt with latest keys
Saved
Changed Softcams and Bingo!

Hi
I have a d-box2 and the problem is that when i turn it on no image comes, it is blank but the listings are there. i tried connecting the box to the pc but it is not working can someone please help me, please email me at bilalmalik786@hotmail.co.uk and very quickly

Hi dovie can you just explain to me about changing the softcam please, have changed the codes and switched off auto update, it worked for about 5 minutes then went off, but havent done the softcam bit
