Androxx

Found the solution to our problem. When you copy the wad files to the sd card only move the actual wad files ad Larry stated and showed a pic of. I moved the entire folder that was created. When I deleted them and just moved the wad files everthing went to plan.

Thanks a million Larry. You're a genius.

I'd also like to know the answer to the question above about nintendo know what we did?

Thanks again

Maybe they can, maybe they can't. But if they can they haven't done anything about it at this time. But as to any gaming console you take the risk when you mod your system.

Launch the HBC and load the cIOS 222 installer.
Press A at the warning screen.
Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37.
Make sure you get installation complete. If you do not and get an error then rerun this step again.

Not sure if this is a joke or something was lost in language translation, but it means the directional pad on the WiiMote. It looks like a plus sign.

Once last questions if you dont mind ladies and gents.

I completed the brilliant guide by larrylje but Will the below steps still necessary??

Quote:

DOP-IOS MOD:

I would suggest using DOP-IOS to install and patch newest version of the below IOS.

ALL SYSTEMS/SERIAL # CAN USE DOP-IOS. THOSE WITH LU64, LEH250 OR LAH113 AND ABOVE CAN USE THIS APPLICATION. DO NOT DOWNGRADE ANY IOS OR FIRMWARE. INSTALL & PATCH THE LATEST IOS REVISION AVAILABLE INSTEAD OF DOWNGRADING TO A LOWER REVISION. DOWNGRADING TO A LOWER REVISION MAY BRICK YOUR SYSTEM!

IOS9 - Used by launch titles (Zelda).
IOS12 - (no description).
IOS13 - (no description).
IOS15 - (no description).
IOS17 - (no description).
IOS21 - Used by old 3rd party titles.
IOS31 - (no description).
IOS33 - (no description).
IOS35 - Used by Super Mario Galaxy.
IOS37 - Used mostly by music games.
IOS38 - Used by some modern titles.
IOS53 - Used by some modern titles and channels.
IOS55 - Used by some modern titles and channels.
IOS56 - Used by Wii Speak.
IOS70 - Used by System menu 4.2

Load DOP-IOS MOD (via Homebrew Channel).

Press A to continue

Which ISO would you like to use to install other IOSs?
Choose IOS249

Press A to continue

Go to IOSs in the list and press A

Go to IOS9 (use D-Pad left & right).

Press A to install latest version.

Press A at Are you sure you want to install IOS9 vXXXX.

Press A at Apply Sig Hash Check patch to IOS9.

Let it do its work (Be patient it may seem that the Wii system has froze but do not turn off or reset the system).

After it has finished press any button to continue.

You should now go back to the DOP-IOS main screen. Now use the d-pad (left & right) to go to the next IOS I have listed above. Follow the above directions to install and patch the newest version of that IOS.

After you have done the last IOS in the above list (IOS70) and you go to the Main Screen press HOME button to exit DOP-IOS MOD.

Just joined to say great guide but dude, chill out. You made a mod guide and you sit up on some high horse thinking you could treat people like crap. Yes they are noobs when it comes to this but before you learned this stuff so where you. This is just a mod guide and seeing people kiss your backside while you give them stark and rude replies is just sad.

What you have made is a nice and simple guide but you aren't some amazing official on wii modding. You are bound to get some silly questions and you know that, so why be rude about it? I appreciate the quality guide but knowing some information is no excuse for talking down to people who don't.

blah blah blah

I was a noob at one time but I had the good sense to read a guide fully instead of skimming through it and missing half of it.

Instead of slamming me why not get down from your higher horse and answer some of the silly questions you so claim I am answering rudely.

Larry,

Im new to the site, but not to the modding world. However, I have one question. Does this softmod method enable my wii to play games such as Wii Sports Resort and Super Mario Bros Wii? A prompt answer will be much appreciated, and keep up the good work.

Thanks

of course it will. granted, you may have to do some tweaking, since everyone has different ways of playing (usbloader/neogamma)

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I was nice to you and gave you the reason a game disc will give you an update prompt. As well I gave you a few options to avoid game disc updates. it wasn't until you repeatedly kept bringing your issue up that I got a little rude.

for all of those who think larry is just straight out rude, you obviously weren't here for his PSP GUIDES. getting the same question at least ONCE a page is annoying. do your research first.

if you have a problem, and someone else HAD the same thing, find out what they did to resolve it. IS IT REALLY HARD TO READ ALL THOSE PAGES?

if your problem hasn't been asked before, then you can ask.

this thread wouldn't have as many pages if people didn't keep on asking the same question.

Just want to say thanks for the guide, i'm a complete wii noob, but followed it to the letter and backups from USB device play fine.

As i've got one of the newer wiis which can't play disk backups, is ok to remove/delete the neogamma application ?

thanks again

HI
I have some troubles with the mod process. I did a clean update to 4.2E (from 3.1E), i went through steps.. up to the point where I should delete 4 IOS (222,...). There is no such IOS in my list, I try to use +/- and seems there is not 2nd page. (In fact, last column in 2st page is imcomplete, means these are all the IOS).
Any suggestion what should I do?

And btw, after downgrading IOS15, HB is upside down. Is this normal?

What should I do next? Waiting... thanks

Make sure your going to the proper directory. If they are not listed then delete the ones that are and just continue.

As for the HBC issue reinstall the HBC.

DOP-IOS mod should have IOS22 in the list. If you can't find it then use NUS Downloader and download the latest version of ISO22 and use WAD Manager to install it.

Try starting the guide from DOWNGRADE IOS15 to AnyTitleDleeter. Make sure do not get any error messages. (Except for AnyTitleDeleter which will give you errors).

I can understand how frustrating it is for him. The point of a step by step guide is so that users follow it. Half of the questions on here are stuff that could be answered by reading the guide that you're supposedly following. You should not be modding your system if you can't

A) Read English
B) Follow Directions

It's really not that difficult. The fact that he has to reiterate information over and over again because people can't do those two basic things is a shame.
