does it matter if the box is connected to the dish as my router is on the fourth floor and dish connection on the first.

The other box still unable to install cccam on it.
If you get list of cams in internet add-ons your box must be connecting to internet ok.
Would suggest you flash one box with Pli-Jade 500 image using Dream-Up loader. Then try
internet add-ons Cccam 2.13. If this works for you re-flash problem box with Pli-jade,
using Dream-up loader.
Were you able to connect box to internet using DHCP or did you have to manually assign
IP address to your box. What method did you use to flash images to boxes.
If you are successful but don't like Pli image, search around for diff. Nabilo image to
install, the one you used may be corrupted.
If all else fails you could try box at diff. location with better internet provider, am
just wondering is your internet connection too slow & times out before you can complete
internet add-on of Cccam

VM 10mb connection should be fine. After you install internet add-on try re-booting box.
I presume you use null-modem cable to flash image with Dream-up loader & cross-over
network cable to connect box to internet.

first off i would say that nabilo is an excellent image (any image is dependent on the download site ,a bad download site results in an image that is failing or wont work at all because its corrupt,if an image wont work try and and find a trustworthy download site if all fails i can provide one) and it will work (from a good download site) all tho it is not the newest on the block.
if anyone has a problem getting a working nabilo image for a dm500s let me know and ill provide a 100% working download link.
naz you need to edit cccam.cfg its the same as on the nabilo image.

Sorry I wasn't around last night, I could have told you to delete unwanted cams or other add-ons to create space in VAR. If your box is permanently connected to internet you can store var folders on your PC, giving you a lot more capacity.
You can edit Cccam/conf. using control centre or by using remote control. Do you wish to edit cam/conf. to enter c-line for C/S or do you just want to use s*ycard in DM 500

naz just so you know you are not going crazy i had this exact same issue and by chance found a workaround.
ok I flashed the box with darkstar II multiple times and never could get the blue panel - same as above.
then i flashed the PLI jade image on it and hey the blue panel appeared.
playing around i reflashed the darkstar II image and the blue panel appeared.
i have flashed a number of boxes now and each time I put the PLI image on it first, then importantly i have to go into the blue panel then flash the nabilo image.
you ask why dont i just stay with the pli image,, could do but im when i got one working i just wanted to keep all the images on the network the same in case i need to troubleshoot anything for my friends
another is that you must go into the blue panel (like activating it) before you put back on the nabilo image,, first time i tried it i flashed pli then nabilo and it was no good.
also when you do a full scan it takes maybe 20 minutes when the unworking image is put on
it sounds a bit crazy but it works 100% - it may add a bit of time to flashing thats all
piopat maybe you could send a link and ill check it out

pli is the best supported image out there. may not look the very best but it does what is required, and with a dm500 that is all that is needed

same here piopat i'll have another go at the darkstar. I downloaded them from the links on the first post. PLI image worked same as the nabilo one even menu's were easy to navigate. nabilo image gave me problems that suggested that the box does not like it i have 2 dm500s from the same supplier and i think they are clones.
its a learning curve and im learning something new everyday. thanks for the help guys.

The no at the end of the line is very important.
piopat, that is the weirdest thing i have ever heard. as you say it should and must be impossible. i would ask you to also check the cline you gave the external client and ensure that no is at the end of this line.
Hi guys got it all sorted many thanks to all,i think the problem with my internal share was a dodgy connection openmedia jack and connection on dm800(loose)connecting then not connecting.
Thanks to fint and piopat for youre patience and much needed help.
Cheers/jack...........

Just out of interest lets say I had a dreambox set up for external card sharing and I wanted to add a client box in the bedroom. And lets say the server only allowed you to use one c line on one box at a time, but they provided two c lines. Could I use each of the c lines on each of the boxes? Or is there a way to use both c lines on both boxes? I'm not planning to do it I'd just like to know if its possible.
