funboyste if you had a box set up for external sharing you could do what you want,if youre saying can you reshare a cline from server id say the answer is no but if you had a chat with the server perhaps for a few bob extra im pretty sure you could do so internally only.

edimax modem, you plug the dongle into this, then run a standard network cable to the dreambox. so he will have to invest first before you can set it up

Just so everyone knows, you don't necessarily need to flash the box with a 232 serial cable. If you have connected your DB to the router, you will be able to see it on your network and even flash it wirelessly!
* Go to an internet browser on your PC/Laptop and go to the address: 192.168.2.1 (Note, the address may differ depending on your router - could be 192.168.0.1 or maybe 192.168.1.1).
* Once there, you should see some sort of router option which shows you a DHCP client list. In that list you will see all of your devices such as PC's, Laptops, Xboxes etc... You should also see your Dreambox too along with an IP address (Mine was 192.168.2.3). Make a note of your DB's IP address.
* With your DB plugged into the power, press and hold the power button. While pressed, unplug the box from the mains for about 20 seconds keeping the power button pressed.
* Reconnect the power to the box, continue to hold the power button for another ten seconds and then release the power button. Do not turn it on yet (if it auto switches on, just put it into standby).
* Go to your internet browser and go to the IP address of your DB that you noted earlier. You should see the default setup screen for the dreambox. On this page, there will be an option to flash the DB with an image via FTP. Click it and follow the prompt for your downloaded DB image.
The image will install itself onto the DB (ironically much quicker than through a serial cable). This even works from a wireless laptop which will be quite handy for those who don't really want to buy a serial to USB cable for one use only.
Hope this helps,
NiGHTSJOD
PS: Does anyone know of a dirt cheap but reliable wireless bridge? Dont have the beans for homeplugs at the moment.
This page requires a password and login !! does anyone know it or were i can get 1 ??

note boxkey is an 8 digit hex number. if you only have 7 then put a leading zero. format is
BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
use b16mcc boxkey generator off www.satellites.co.uk to confirm your boxkey is correct. on another matter i advise to download flashfxp. open a blank file called cccam.cfg and just enter the boxkey line as above. save the file and transfer it to /var/etc/

it seems cccam is either not installed and set as your default cam or the cccam version you installed is not suitable for the sly card .for white sly cards you need either cccam 2.1.3 or cccam 2.1.4 (the channels wont open when using a sly card without either of these) however if only using a c line an older version than those two will suffice.

ive used the b16mcc one that allows different variations of the serial number is there any other way of getting boxkey apart from the sly box serial number as the box i have only has 16 digits and the system info with in sly box has 10 digits.

you use the card number to generate the boxkey, not the serial number of the box. this is usually a nine or 10 digit number. just typr the card number into to any decimal to hex converter and add a following 0 if you only end up with 7 hex characters

there are no arabic channels on the sky satellite mate ,that sounds a bit like hotbird .did you install the motorised dish your self ?,you may need to look at that again.you say you got a trial share (codes) i assume you mean a c line (example)
C:kingpip.dyndns 12000 trial share no ,if what you have resembles that its a c line and you put it into var/etc in the dreambox. to do that you need dream control center, let us know what stage you are at with dream control center and putting the c line.
