If you use dream-up it erases old image & just installs new raw image. If you want an image
eraser I'll send you link

Please advise - I had to buy subscription from a paid site and I am using the code provided in one room, can I use the same code in another room or do I have to buy another subscription?

yes, u need 3g router though. you plug the stick into this router. you need to make sure that the router software supports your mobile broadband provider. i really do not wish to answer the second question as i will most likely be wrong. lets just say some options are ipbox9000, dm7025, dm800, vu+ duo and there are many more. read the reviews and you decide. i have not used all these boxes so i simply can't say

many options. people will suggest openmedia bridge. now i did recommend it as i thought it was a neat solution but then i tried it and it really didn't work for me. then there is the homeplug solution which really works well but is really expensive. so finally i have settled on my favourite. its buying a router like a dlink 615, reprogramming it with ddwrt software, setting it as a repeater, and then using is as a wireless link to the broadband modem you already have. u can pick one of these up for eur20 as compared to the bridge which is eur 45 and homeplugs that is eur 80. granted you have to learn to program the box with ddwrt but well worth the effort

openmedia works best if you are not too far away from the router, ihave 3 of them working quiet well the one thats directly over the router(in bedroom)never a problem the one thats furthest away lets say as the crow flies 15 feet with a couple of old solid walls in the way sometimes acts up but still happy enough.

Surely you know Fint, that jvob would only post such a question because his friend wants to
set up an internal share in his own house. That's allowed is it not. I think you should read
Pio's fantastic thread which we are posting in
A NEWBIES GUIDE TO SETTING UP A DM500S FOR CARDSHARING
If title of this thread is allowed think you should apologise to jvob

No it shouldn't take any longer than other images. If scanning only one sat did you tick
network before starting scan

Far as I know usage is minimal, you could run the server box & normal PC usage without exceeding limits set by provider

you have to forward port 12000 for share to work, piopat's great tut at the begining of this thread explains everything, have a read of that, it's not too difficult, but you'll need to concentrate if your not very good with this sort of stuff.
