fint, ref post #815, i have done that. the file is visible in ftp. i can open it and view transponders for astra 28 and badr4/5/6, but when i go to sat config and get drop down menu, i've only one choice..astra 28. am i in the wrong place?menu..setup..servive searching..sat congig..sat position........no choice given.

dan, doesn't make sense. if you manage to flash a valid image using dreamup then the only reason you will not be able to see anything on your tv is because your scart is either loose into tv or dreambox. it simply does not compute that you can successfully flash the box and it cannot reboot considering most of the same circuitry is used in both operations. so it simply must be faulty or loose scart. is it possible the connector got damaged when you plugged it into tv or dreambox. check all the pins to make sure none are bent.
tried using 2 sets of red yell white av leads just incase 1 was faulty and tried 3 scart leads also tried another tv still no joy.. its in the bin now anyways lost the will to live with it all

jondalar, do a factory reset. i know this will lose your cccam.cfg but you are well able to put that back in place. factory reset usually at least allows all sats to be shown. so lets get that right first

dan, do you have another dm500 that is behaving itself. at least then you can discount what i said. its very weird that you don't at least get the primary image page on your tv screen as this takes no processing power from your dreambox. hence the reason i wondered about scart.

Hi guys

Bit of a strange one. All channels working fine on a client but whenever a channel is changed a message pops up for 3 secs saying

Unable to descramble

The channel then displays fine.

Then an nds message appears featuring my dyndns hostname. Five seconds later, it's gone

Any idea how I can stop these messages from appearing?

hi fin. Box is DM500 with open pli image. I'm using cccam214. The box itself works fine but i'm just concerned from a security aspect that my dns hostname flashes on the screen :-/

yes you do, the server receives the keys via satellite, the server then shares the keys.

absolutely not true jondalar, keys are supplied from the card. there is no need whatsoever to have your server connected to a dish. indeed many users prefer to run a server off a computer with the card connected via usb (smargo).

balcee, no matter what you do your host name will always show on the client box. i've always said that you only share with people you know. there is simply no way to hide your address details from your clients so clients should be trusted!!!!

jondalar, understand, what exactly does a feed sat supply. answer is pictures. the card supplies the decryption. you do not (or would not want) a sat feed to your computer. whats the point of owning a 50 inch high def tv if you are going to connect it to a laptop.

card will work in dm500 (without sat connection) without issue.

Switched it off and when turned it back on only fta channels working.
C-line is fine, and cccam 2.1.4 installed. Network test is all green. Cannot figure out what has changed. cline working fine in dm500. Anybody any suggestions?
You may need to restart CAM, when you installed Cccam 2.14 you should have set it as default
cam so when box reboots Cccam will restart automatically
Can any of you help me please? I am pulling my hair out trying to set up my DM800hd I have flashed the latest gemini2 image to the box done a scan got all my FTA channels
the problem is I cannot seem to be able to sort out the cccam part of the set up. I have surfed for ages and all help guides I have read say go to addons (2) and install the cams but there is nothing there how do I get the latest 2.1.4 and how do I install it and set it up through ftp I am guessing but which folders etc??

is there a newbies guide for the DM800?

Any help appreciated.... thank you in advance..

gemini no longer supports cam download. you need to search for cam on the net. then install it in /tmp and do a manual install
