Did you take the splitter out as advised by Sc0user?! so with your splitter out you are connected to your main feed directly now do a factory default then a powerscan on symbol rate 6952, step 8 as ilustrated on page 1.

1, First of all you will need to know who your Symbol Rate, If you get this wrong you wont pick up any Transponders/Channels so download the list linked below before going any further. (if your on Ch0rus use 6875 as your Symbol Rate.)

(If your N*L Dublin use 6887 + start at 290.000 end 420.000)

In each box above notice the Symbol Rates 6887,6952 & 6875, now match your symbol rate which you got from the list downloaded previously to one of the boxes and copy the rest of the information in that specific box to your eurovox powerscan settings using your remote, once after double checking you have entered the info correctly press ok to start the scan.

If after doing this you do not recieve any channels check your connections at the back of your box, also a common fault make sure you have the cable feed pluged into your RF in and not the ANT socket.

Problems with your PC/Laptop not recognising your eurovox.

To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions:

1. Go to the Start Menu
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Select "Properties"
4. Click on the "Hardware" tab
5. Click on "Device Manager"
6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)"
7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.)
8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port.
9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected

Follow my advice to step 7. Locate your USB Adapter (port *)

Right click on that port and select properties. Then select port settings, then select advanced. At the bottom of that tab will be a drop down box with the port selected (port * in your case). Use the drop down to select another port (eg 1, 2 or 3). If the port you want to use is already allocated to something else, you can use the same procedure to reassign that port after you have finished.
Save the selections in the usual way. The USB converter will be permanently assigned to the port you selected.

Asked numerous times, as it just a another glitch. When you carry out a recording it will recognise the HDD and this should disappear.

Is there a way to catergorise the channels? apart from manually doing it...SV4 did this automatically.

It will also add them into categories with FAV Sort or you can upload you CDF to your PC and use the UFL to set up channel line up to your preference.

Finally is there anywhere on tinterweb an idiots guide to EV pvr. My box came with no instuctions.
First impression is that it is better than SV4, but it's early days

This whole thread is a guide, (as is many others), start of at page 1 as you can see a lot of work has been put into it.
