I saw That some one had an ASPI layer error when they went to use CDVDGEN 1.5. I had the same error. Just go to google and find Force Aspi. Free down load. You need to update your Aspi Layer. I ran into another prob , Trying to fix now . When I rebuilt the Bloodrayne 2 game I ended up with 3 Star files. .000 1 gig , .001 1 gig and .002 about 186,000 KB. Does anyone know If I have to join all 3 together to get Bloodraynes to work properly. Thanks Vgaitez

hi any 1 had any probs with outlaw golf 2 loading ready slow and i need a NTSC to PAL fix for call of duty finest hour
tryed jayteemaster but keep getting error saying file too big

I folled all instructions on burning the game. But when i put the game in my ps2 it loads to the PS2 screen then blinks and goes to the PS2 dicks page. What did i do wrong?

Andrew, I had the same problem with Outlaw gholf 2. It loading kind slow until I got to actually start a game, then it took like 20 minutes and it was only halfway loaded. Any Suggestions? By the way, this is my first time posting in this forum but I read them everyday, and I want to thank you personally Andrew for your advice on using the iso buster and dvdgen programs. It has helped me immensely. I've never had a bad burn. Everything I've copied has worked perfectly, until now. I can't get Roughe agent or call of duty to play correctly, they both hang on loading screen. Sorry about the long post.

After i hit rec... i got an error:
The host scsi adapter is not available
What does it mean ? Shoul i install the original Aspi layer ?

The aspi error is associated with a missing file in your windows32 directory... You need to hunt down this file (you can find it on the NERO website)... This error has already been discussed; I believe in this thread???

I need help!! I am trying to use cdvdgen however I don't get the two error messages you guys have spoke of. Also after I hit record a RECORD screen does not pup up. Am I doin something wrong or do I have a bad copy of cdvdgen

if the two errors does not pop up, it could be that your burner/computer supports the program. it only gives u the pop ups when neither of it supports it. and as for the recording if it does not pop up, just open it manually.

u need some kind a file to put in system 32 folder. This problem has been solved. CHeck the whole thread.

The tow errors do not pop up. But I do get the follwoing err "execute error:CD/DVD-Rom recording unit controller" What gives.
As for opening the record manually;
where is that located I see the record tab, but that's it. i hate to sound like I totally ignorant (well maybe I am)

I am getting that exact same error message when pressing the record button on CDVDGEN. I am able to save the file, but then the following error comes up:
"Execute error: CD/DVD-Rom recording unit controller"
So yeah, i'm not too sure about this one. If anyone has any information on it please let me know. Thanks a lot.

Storytold, I had to get a different copy of cdvdgen. I don't know if the first copy I had was missing a piece or just defective. However I got another copy that works fine.

I got other games over 4 gig and they works fine after burned with Decrypter. I thinks it sound for me problems with blank media or fast burn just a thought.

Hi im curious does anyone have a copy of CDvdgen isobuilder i can't find it nowhere if so could ya tell me or send it to me i would appreciate it and one more thing i was looking on ps2ownz.com last night they said they released a new version of cdvdgen 2.0 could some send it to me or whatever cause i can get it off of there and no one is sharing it and im currently using version 1.20 and i found that with luck lol well hope to hear from you all soon thanks again in advance

I have a V10 PS2 and the slide-card method with SwapMagic v3.3. I have downloaded the .dll file, cdvdgen 1.2, and isobuster. I dont know if ISOBUILDER is the same thing or not, but if it IS DIFFERENT, you should not need it based on what this thread says.
My questions are: with the NEW version (3.3) of swapmagic, is it necessary to re-build the image and all that in order to obtain a usable backup?
And also, does 'CD-dvd Gen v1.2' work ok or is v2.0 needed? I have 1.2 and also isobuster.
Has anyone had any success with using a simple 1:1 copy of the DVD and a mod-chip/swap method?
I ask because right now I use a MAC to copy DVDs and it's unlikely I could use cdvdgen and all the other utilities on the MAC platform.

Also, I have read this whole long thread, and it looks like great info.
I read about 6 times people asking and answerin the same 2 questions) Do I combine/burn all .0## files? THE ANSWER IS YES! Although no one mentioned if using other, files with odd extensions is needed.
And if you get the freaking ASPI error, just get the dang DLL file from Nero.

i am having problems backing up this game i have tried Alcohol 120 and dvd decryptor and Nero but it keeps on saying illegal mode for this track and fails at 81% at sector 1860048 i have tried it about 15 times could someone help me PLEASE
