mcnoodle does it work, when you get the NTSC game n create dai mages then pacth me with y-fix NTSC to PAL then burn it does it work in ur only PAL playing ps2

I'm finding more and more PAL games that don't look right unless they've been patched. The list includes Urban Reign, K*ng Kong & Soul Calibur III. I'm using SwapMagic v3.6 but it does the same on my friend's Matrix Infinity. The screen vertically is stretched. Games are playable; they just look bad.

I recommend patching only when the game don't come in NTSC version or when you need a especific language that the NTSC version don't have. Patching sucks but is necesary. But not to patch every PAL game.

I got black, but I'm getting this double vision thing that's making the game unplayable, because it's confusing, but other than that, it looks and sounds great. Any ideas?

I'v followed all the steps to play a PAL game on an NTSC system but it still dint work. when i put the cd into my ps2 it shows reading disc then stops and dats all it keeps on doing. i used a DVD+RW cd could that be the problem. please reply am going crazy. it gta san andreas

nosakhare-never use a RW DVD or CD. i would recommend a DVD-R because older versions don't read +R

Look this!
In PAL the sound frames have a higher lenght than in NTSC because of the slower fps (50 instead of 60).
When you convert to NSTC you may be overbufering the sound buffers which causes the sound problems. This only happens you some games which lacck of syncronization, i.e., they are hard coded for PAL, at least is what i think.
There is no fix for this at the moment.

Thanks for the update. I'll add it to this list in the first post. For the games that have a 60hz option, could you list how to access it?
For example:
Conflict Vietnam - At the Main Menu, select options. Under options, select refresh rate. Select 60hz.
or
FIFA Football 2005 - At the Main Menu, select My FIFA 2005. Next, select Game Settings. Highlight NTSC and move it to the On position.

So i got the ISO out of my CD-ROM but now what do i burn it onto i tried a CD-RW but it didn't work. Im going to try a DVD-RW but do i need a blank CD-ROM? I tried the dvd as well but it still says the same thing every time: "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc. It is really annoying. I think i might just do the disk swap thing or w.e.

Commandos Strike Force (SLES_527.68)
There is no PAL/NTSC selector for this game.
Use PAL TO NTSC PATCHER WITH Y-FIX V1.06 BETA with Y-fix offset of 48.
This causes a video defect in the game. To fix it, you'll have to center the screen within the game. Here's how to do it:
Once you get to the main menu, hit Start, Down, Down, X. This will take you to the settings. Press Down, X to go to the video settings. Once there, hit up 10 times, then left once, and you'll be fine.
