acording to this site http://www.mod-chip.com swap magic works with v9 consoles and the flip top will fit the v9 console with minor modification so i can see no reason why it wont work

I heard that DNAS protect was to prevent users from using cheat devices like gameshark or AR online, i've read in some other forums that people play online with there chipped ps2s without a problem.

all the new games that have the latest version of dnas protection require you to use the orignal game and have your mod chip in sleep mode to work backups of the new online games wont work

Soulja that's incorrect information
NTSC US/J PS2's V9:
Swap Magic 3 cd - DOES NOT WORK
Swap Magic 2 dvd - DOES WORK
PAL PS2 V9:
THEY BOTH WORK
strange for the dvd that is supposedly only compatible with 1-8 to work with v9 but it does...it's that pesky us/j sm3 cd that doesn't work with v9

Hey what's up guys! I installed a flip-top cover over Christmas and so far it works great for playing imports... But, I've heard that Minna No Golf 4 doesn't play with the Magic Swap discs (blue border comes on but it doesn't load)! I've read about the CDLoader, and I'm wondering if any of you have tried playing this game with the CDLoader, or if you are sure that it will play with the CDLoader... I don't have v7, BTW. Thanks for your help! I really want to play the Japanese version of this game!!

Got a fliptop. Installed it perfectly, pretty sure everything is right. So, I put the cd in and close it... when it spins, it scrapes some part the bottom. So, i took the magnet thing off of the top and placed it just on the cd, works perfectly. Put it back on the lid, doesn't spin. I really don't feel like leaving it open and having to do this by hand. Yes, the magnet is still there on the cd spindle as well. All the screws are on tight. does anyone know what is going on?

there is a lip on the left side of the tray to hold the disc in place if the console is used in the vertical position, make sure you are getting the disc under that lip, tip the left side in first and make sure you are under the lip before placing the disc on the hub, thne give it a little spin to check for smooth operation. then close the lid and play.
