Yeah, thanks. I've looked all around and that seems to be the best place, even though it looks cheesey. I can use the 3.2 swap magic and 3.0 DVD disc on my old V1 ps2 still right?

Saveware has Live Tech Support. Also since they are a large wholesaler they offer competitive rates. I found out you just mention the site you found the lower price at and they will match or beat out the price. Don't forget they only charge a $2 handling fee and give you Priority 2 day shipping for $3.95. So the shipping is only $5.95 and fast and you also get a confirmation number in e-mail. I was just on the site and see they have moved to a larger facility and are now stocking larger quantity. I am hoping now that there already low price will even be lower. They don't seem to go buy what others sell for but simply mark up there price for what they get it for. One of the reasons I keep buying from them, I feel comfortable in that I am getting the lowest price so I have been able to help a lot of people I know get good deals. They were down for 1 week though, but I think that was because of them moving as they said on there site they moved the web site to faster servers to take up the slack until they get there own servers back up in place and are supposed to be ordering more speed for them too. I did notice there site is not as pretty as some of the others but I like the fact that is very informative and has a lot of help. That was like the #1 reason I went to them years ago as I was not quite sure of what product to get, the no solder mod chip, slide card or Flip Top Cover. Don over there told me the Flip Top Cover was the best even though a bit more money was worth it and easier to install and use then the other mod products. They don't seem to have soldered in mod chips yet though. I guess they are specializing in no solder products. I got a Flip Top Cover at first but then wound up buying a pre nodded PlayStation from them later on and also got a HD Loader and it has been great, just cost a lot more then getting a Flip Top Cover and Swap Magic Combo as that was a good way I felt for me to start out on my low budget and use the V4 PlayStation I already had. Did not want to be without my PlayStation for that long and have to sell it to get up the extra money to add to get the pre moded one so I waited until I had the full cash first. My PlayStation is like the Internet and my Email, I can't stand being without it for too long :) You know that feelin!

http://www.fliptopcover.com redirects you to Saveware's playstation products as they also sell computers, web hosting and design. They have a direct link to that page from the home page but the link is http://www.saveware.com/p628.htm as I have book marked it.

I am on there mailing list and Just found out they are going to have the old style blue and white lids with the Bottom covers realy cheap. Like $5 extra for the bottom cover. I told my friend Josh to get that combowhen it comes out as I know those bottom covers used to be like $14.95 and since they came out with the new push button ones the old covers are super cheap now. They said that the company stoped making them and so would run out soon, but I seen them still stocking them for like 5 months now. They must have purchased a huge inventory of them or something.

PS2 Ver 7 with Messiah Mod Chip, HD Loader and 120 Gigabyte Maxtore Drive

X-Box with Evox and 200 Gigabyte Western Digital Hard Drive

Saveware is when I got mine back when they were still only making the 3 different colors. Its the cheapest maybe their site is still down for online orders but you can still call them up and place the order by the phone.

Pointgod, sounds to me like a bad burn I backed my original DefJam FFNY and the music kinda skips, so I made another one and I'm testing it today. I'll let you know if it's the game of your burn.

Well first off let me say baysoftgames.com is not a good place to buy a fliptop. I went through 6 weeks of runaround then 3 more waiting for a refund. Still no money.
Now my question about saveware.com. I ordered a week ago and so far have only received the order conformation. I have called and emailed and got no response. Is this normal? Those of you who have successfully ordered from saveware.com How long did it take to get your stuff?
I'm just a little worried after my baysoftgames experience.

I'm Also Worried. after Reading all the great Response that people on this thread were giving to saveware.com it seemed logical to order from them. and so i did.. and its been over a week and no shipping confirmation have been sent, only order confirmation and order number. these guys are starting to worry me, i shouldve stick with www.customps2.com. writting an email is useless because they wont response, and they wont pick up the phone, i spent all day calling their number and no one will pick up.

Seems like retailers are afraid to sell a flip top, they're quite hard to find, and even harder to find at a fair price.

Where's the do it yourself flip top guides? :P

Ropeadope, i dont think they are afraid to sell fliptops, ive seen many sites that will sell fliptops at more or less decent price, the hard part about it is choosing the right site to buy from... ive bought fliptops from 2 different sites, and they both worked great. www.tisinc99.com and www.customps2.com.. its just this www.saveware.com site that is giving me problems with my items.. i didnt even order a fliptop, i ordered a blue bottom case.. and i cant believe its taking so long for them to send that out. for those that have order from them before, do they send a shipping confirmation email??

the sad thing is that saveware doesnt tell you if they have the item in stock or not, its like i guessing game with them. and they do said this about shipping:

"2) Orders will be guaranteed to ship out within 24 hours if the product is in stock! . USPS Priority 2-3 day delivery. Get your product within 2-4 days. You are sent a confirmation e-mail."

once the shipping confirmation is sent, im assuming they give you the usps tracking number, than and only than you can track your package with usps. the sad truth is that, none of that has happened with some of our members, and i speak for those when i say.. saveware.com sucks monkey's balls..never again, never, ever ever eva eva again, will i shop with them. im taking my money to www.customps2.com and i just realize that i shouldve added the matching bottom to my blue ps2 fliptop when i order my fliptop from them, it wouldve came out alot cheaper.. $25 dollars for both things, fliptop and matching bottom. while in the other hand, im paying $10.95 with saveware, those $10.95 magically transform into $12.95, plus $7 dollars shipping.. pretty much $20 dollars for a matching bottom!! trust me guys, im kicking myself in the balls for this one.

Well saveware.com finally contacted me with this:

As the web site states we are in the process of moving. I am now at the new location and had the Internet connection setup today so I can start shipping tomorrow.
Thank you for being patient in our transition. With the new larger location we can start to ship every day and stock more items and larger quantity and hire more help.
Don Rieb

The web site does say they are moving but says nothing about not shipping or responding to customers for a week. So maybe we will get our stuff after all. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I've tried calling them and no one picks up the phone. and im not going to take the "Moving" excuse. they should still keep a business running while they are going thru this process. actually, i dont want my item from saveware.com anymore, but than again, they are making it so hard for me to contact them and let them know that. this site gets a low 3 from a scale of 1-10 from me.
