well you see as i explained it back a few post.... if your xbox has the softmod still running then aid 3 can be reconised and run or as well burned games..... now since you cant load the linux and you get dash error you only have 2 options ..... but i really dont think the softmod is running even if you guys screwd up hence the reason why you wanted to re install the softmod ...lol this is what happend? either you unisntalled it or it disappeard somehow and then you wanted it back resulting sid 4 find modded files and it fails and to pretty much the point in here lol .... just do the hotswap on xbox hq u get everything u need and u'll be running in no time
for sure hotswap fixes it
running aid 3 and install a dash

Does the type of Xbox memory card matter? I've been using the following process to try softmodding an xbox.
Burn rewritable DVD with the appropriate files on it.
Tranfer to already softmodded xbox (which was done by someone else)
Transfer to no name thirdparty xbox memory card
Transfer to new xbox with correct 5960 dash
Follow tutorial with Splinter Cell
On reboot after the press A to finish off thing I get the clock screen coming up.
If I delete the installer and use tray open, I get error 21. With installer still there I'm taken to that.
Any ideas?

hi everyone,
quite difficult to get hold of sid 4.0 nknave well on torrents.Im looking forward to softmoding my 2 xboxes.I have been using sid 31 linux and sid 31 splinter cell.is there anymore softwares i can try.Im at my wits end..

no the brand of the mem card doesnt matter as it will transfer the needed files however any branded mem card can rarely sometimes currpt files .... ( yes even the ms one )
non modded xbox will not reconise any unsiged codes
what you mean the "clock thing" if the circle led is red and ms dash loads asking for time then set it turn it off and turn it back on
this is NORMAL for the ms dash to come up with the clock time and IF your circle led is red then your xbox is modded
PLEASE DONT delete neither of the 2 files as this can make things harder to recover your xbox in case of a disaster ....
( reason why clock thing comes up is because ms was too cheap to put a better running life battery so time wouldnt get erased after 3+ hrs of unpluged power cable.
hi kingboxer well i wouldnt recommend anything earlier then sid 4 alto sid 4.5 is just as good and theirs sid 4's everywhere on torrents you can xbox aquire it from xbox hq .com as thats where this mod was made

What do you mean? The modding files ARE gamesaves... and unless you have a modified USB memory stick, you HAVE to use action replay to get the saves to a memory card.

you can use literly any xbox mem card 3rd party or not as long as you can transfer your saves from your pc to your xbox... remember they have to be 2 files .....

im using splinter cell and i followed the directions perfectly but when i click "checkpoints" the game just freezes and i have to turn off the system, im pretty sure i should be using NTSC since i live in the u.s. but i also tried PAL and it didnt work =/ please help me!

Help please. When I try to load linux from splinter cell or mechassult I get a black screen and the xbox ring turns orange or sometimes green. I've done everything perfectly. Update dashboard, game version, no other gamesaves or softmods, etc. Only thing I can think of is that my action replay memory card is corrupted. I wanted to check here before I go buy another memory card.

hey sorry guys for not coming up lately , RagMoo yes the mem card can sometimes be currpted just have it exchanged ( return policys allow this ) sometimes just by having a extra gamesave of hte game can currpt it too so make sure you only have 2 files the linux and gamesave point that opens the back door. but morelikely if you get black screens its the mem card if all the other opitions have been done .... gfro1234 if u r NTSC only use NTSC as far as freezing up i havnt heard of that one so make sure you dont have for that paticular game any extra gamesaves and make sure they are both the proper 2 files ... also the game cannot be platinum edition ..... and if all above fail mem card coudl be bad too , for further help ask xbox hq

I keep getting "Action Replay Failed To Enumerate" when ive plugged the usb device into my PC anyidea on how to get it working ?

sometimes its a bit buggy just plug it again and re plug or someting restart , make sure your software is installed then reboot then try plutting the mem card first then plug the usb card to pc

Got it all working and installed UnleashX on my xbox but now when I start up my xbox the screen displays in black and white, but if I leave a game in and start my xbox up it displays the game in colour anyideas on how to fix this ?
Another point is when I click "Ms Dashboard" in the UnleashX it comes up with unable to find it and displays the path name, any clues on how to fix this ? Got a feeling I may have messed up along the way

someting is bad on this file and i know what it is , its an old release well theirs noting bad its just that you have to rename the path name because it wont find msdash.xbe insted it shoudl be xodash.xbe or sometin like taht , but i mean if you can open the tray and ms dash loads then our fine , as far as black and white i have heard of this issue and a solution has been made its just that i dont know it go ask xbox hq ,

How do I go about renaming the path for the file ? Can I do it on the xbox itself ?
