I have a 1.50 Psp. and already downloaded metal gear solid portable ops. i have th iso file but cant load it. i tried fastloader, UMD emulator and dev hook but still i cant load it. when i load the ISO file il just freezes and turns black out. im been trying to figure this out for almost a week. please in so frustrated with this already. please anyone help me... please!!!! give me step by step and where to get the files neede. willing to pay $10 for anyone who can help me

dana2006 do you have 2.71 FW installed?
smiffer and 10spro No you do not need to uninstall devhook before putting on dark alex's custom FW.
rehman200 Yes you can have both DHv46 and DHv51 in the same MS.(that is how I have my MS)
DHv51 has a new folder that is uses (51) in the dh folder.
jsuarez Look for a Devhook v52 tutorial to install it
or upadate to 3.03 OE (and look in the Readme)

Juan, thanks for your reply. Now, one question no one has been able to answer is when I upgrade from devhook .51 to OE/A, do I need to unflash the PSP first, and if so, how do you that? What does it mean? Finally I was saying that I am running devhook 0.51, FW 3.02, would you recommend upgrading to 3.02 OE first, or can I just upgrade straight into 3.03 OE/A-B? Thanks.

Search for a 3.03 OE thread. (this is only for Devhook)
Yes 3.03 OE will work on all games. (if it does not work you can use Devhook) that works in 3.03 OE
No you do not need to unflash the PSP first.
To unlash devhook go in the same menu you used to flash the flash1 files.

juan.. have u tried playing mgs po iso file on your psp?? how did u do it? can you actually help me? im having a hard time looking for dev hook tutorial. help me please thanks

mgs po works in DHv46 whit hybrid 2.71+3.01 firmware (search for it in the psp-haxors.com forums)
or DHv51.01 whit 3.01 FW
I was not here for some time so I have 3.02 OE
and will have to undate to 3.03 OE and DHv52
I think that it will work in this new ones

juan i cant find the devhook v46 with hybrid. what i found is without hybrid. do you know where i can download the one with hybrid??

juan: i finaly founf the devhook hybrid and already installed. but there some instructions in the read me file that i don't understand. do you mind helping me again? thanks. il paste below the read me file.......
devhook FW2.71 with MemoryStick file root directry.
flash access is redirect to this directry.
You should be copy all files of flash0/flash1 and reboot.bin.
replace flash0/kd/*.txt with plain modded config files.
FW installer can not make reboot.bin.
You yourself must copy it.
flash1/registry/*.* copies from other FW ver.
because FW2.71 with devhook can't initialize registry files.

yes juan2320 my PSP is originaly 2.71 FW with new TA-082 motherboard on it i bought it with hen b and devhook 0.46 already on it. If i wanted to upgrade to 302 OEA do i need to remove the stuff off my PSP first? Another thing i don't know if it's been flashed.

cheers for the info as i am now on 3.02oe-b devhook is now gone and games are still working :) now here's the question...after intalling 3.02oe-b there is the recovery folder!do i need to add files into this or will it just run as it is?and what exactly does it do? in case i need to use it in the near future!would be nice to have more of an idea before i click my psp to death :P thanks hope someone can help!

people i need your help. i have firmware 1.50 with devhook 0.46 2.71-3.01 hybrid. but i cant load Metal Gear Solid Portable ops and smackdown vs.raw 2007. what am i doing wrong? i also tried devhook 0.51 and 0.52 but still it wont load the ISOs. it would just turn black and would crash. please help me anyone.. thanks

Hi all, this is a massive massive forum. I've been searching all over but no one else seems to have my problem. While theres a wealth of info on the forums, the breadth and variety of info is difficult for a noob like myself to get my head around.
I recently acquired a psp which has already been downgraded to FW1.5 and now just installed Devhook 0.46 . Works a dream with most ISOs but.... i have some niggly problems (quite major actually). I cannot quit from a game back to XMB without it crashing and showing me the blue screen. (i need to do a reboot to get out of the game and reload Devhook to start another game). I've tried formatting and reinstalling Devhook but doesnt seem to work. In fact, in any other mode except 2.71 it doesnt even load. It just swithces off. should i be looking at a different software ?
Problem 2 .. and this is strange. In some games i cannot see the text... i just see the o and x button selection and the highlight on the screen. I can guess that it is usually the yes/no selection, but its rather annoying.. as all the text in the game will be missing. issit coz the ISO is from a different region or something ?
anyway, thanks for anyone who can help.

get fw 3.03 OE-A devhook is old and therfore isnt too good but if u upgrade to this custom firmware u dont even need devhook just create a folder called ISO in your ms root and when you go to game and the memory stick the games will appear there to get 3.03 OE-A use google try to find an easy installer

PSX games will not work with 3.03 OE-A but will work with 3.03 OE-B just update it and i think... you can just put the psx in the iso folder im not too sure because i dont use psx myself only iso and cso

On my dev hook everytime i am trying to save data, for example saved game data, it goes corrupt and doesn't let me load it up! So i can't get anywhere on my games unless i stay on them the whole time! any suggestions?

dana2006 upgrade to 303 OE-C witha 2.71 psp. you need a 1.5 to do that.(downgrade to 1.5 then update to 303 OE-C) search for what you need
smiffer this is not a 3.03 OE thread.(search for one)
you do not need the recovery folder.(that is so you can go back to 1.5)you put the 1.5 update eboot in it(look in the Readme)
PY80 I do not know why you get that but try to install the new DHv52 with 3.03 FW.(or update to 3.03 OE-C)
10spro this is not a 3.03 OE thread.(searsh for one) PSX games go in the GAME folder.
bailey07 PSX games will work with 3.03 OE-A(not in 3.02 OE-A)
but know there is 3.03 OE-C
boehmer when the save get corrupt try to go in to sleep mode and see if it will fix it. and some save games of the old devhook do not work in the new Devhooks.

have been using dev hook 46. for a while now and had no problems
but for a month or two it seams most of the latest cso wont work on
dev hook 46.
so i dont know which way to go forward i dont realy care for ps1 games it the psp latest cso games which i want to play
like metal gear portable or rocky
so whats the best way to go forward
1.dev hook with 2.71/301 hybrid mod instaler
2. dev hook dev hook 0.51000 instaler
3.dev hook 0.52
4. a diffrent way?
so whats the best way forward for playing cso and what are the pros-cons for using any of the above
from what i understand most new games wont work on the 46. ?
due to the need of 2.80 and above simulation
and the last question is can you have 1 or more devhooks on tour memory card like 46. and 51. or do they clash the only problem i have heard is that saved data can only be used fron the dev hook you saved it from or may become corupt
will a 52. instaler ever be AVAILABLE as a dont feel to competent to go throuh it all manually?

i have 1.5 with devhook .46 installed one my memory stick , if i want devhook .46 or any other version on another memory stick , is it safe to do so , do i just use the easy installer on my other memory stick , is it safe to do so , or do i just copy and paste the files onto the other ms , if i wanted a differnernt newer version like devhook .51 on my other memory stick would that also be safe to do since .46 is flashed onto the psp itself ., thanks for any help
