hi guys im running devhook 0.51 to run 3.01 on my original 1.5 psp n was wondering wat is the difference between flahing it and just running it normally i know it probably sounds stupid but i dont have a clue ??

i am trying to get on the internet with my psp but when i try to test connection error has accurred the attemp to obtain the ip address time out.

PY80 all you need to do is look in the 3.03 OE-C Readme and you can do it.(you will need the 3.03 and 1.5 FW eboots) get them at psp-hacks
smugla2k you can use dev hook v46 with 2.71/301 hybrid mod for metal gear portable. (but you will need DHv52 with 3.03 FW for other new games)
and you can have 2 devhooks on one memory card like DH46 and 52 if you do not flash them to flash1. when you install DHv52 do not delete you old one(DHv46)
nypsp just copy and paste the files onto the other MS.
TOM321 if you flahing it ppl say it's faster. (but I think for games it's the same)
jvmart8 search for a internet connection thread. (I do not use internet with Devhook)

Just got myself a PSP with fw 1.5. I want to install Devhook 5.2 to run the latest images. Can some one tell me if Devhook has to be flashed to rom or can it be installed on the memory stick. I dont want to start flashing in case I brick it.
Any advance would be great

newgen06 you do not need to flash DHv52. get a flash1 folder from a 2.71 FW dump that you had in DHv46 and rename it to f1. then put the f1 in the 303 folder that has the f0 of the 3.03 FW you dumped.
averds the system software version is the firmware of your psp. If it has 2.82 that is what firmware you have. (update to 3.03 and use the new 3.03 downgrader to get a 1.5 psp) search for it at psp-hacks

hi i have a psp downgraded to 1.5 then upgraded to fw 3.03 oe-c i have the umd game vice city and i have the cheatdevice for vice city wat version of Devhook would i be able to use please and thanx in advanced

juan thanks for all your help really appreciated.
but having hen b doesn't mean that my PSP is already downgraded to 1.5? It is working fine but only when i emulate up to firmware 2.6.
2.71 doesn't seam to do anything just turns my PSP off.
That is the reason why i want to upgrade to 3.02.
But i don't know how to get rid of all the stuff that is already on it.

chepe19 look in the cheatdevice Readme for that info. I think it work in DHv51.01
dana2006 why don't you use Hen-D and DHv51.01?(I do not know if DHv52 works with Hen-D) or Downgrade your psp to 1.5 then update to 3.03 OE-C.
If 2.71 is not working then you do not have the 2.71 FW files that DH need.(look in dh\271) Is it like 15mb?
Don't upgrade to 3.02 and you do not need to get rid of all the stuff that is already on your psp.
newgen06 and all people that what to use DHv52 with out flashing.
(and look in the Readme for more info)
Here is my Devhook v52(3.03 FW) install tutorial with No flashing.
1.Copy the devhook 0.52 package to the root of your memory stick. This would be ms0:/ and the three folders should be "dh", "PSP" and "fbm".
2.Download the 3.03 update.(eboot)
3.Get PSARDumper(that can dump 3.03 FW) by Team C+D
4.Extract the DATA.PSAR from the 3.03 update you've downloaded with a program such as PBP Unpacker or PSP Brew (a PC app)
5.Once thats done, copy the DATA.PSAR over to the root of your memory stick.
6.Run PSARDumper on your PSP, once its loaded up press X to dump a sigchecked 3.03. Once its done your PSP will return to the main menu.
7.Open up your memory stick, you will now see that there is an "F0" folder in the root. Move that to the "303" folder inside of "dh".
8.Then get a flash1 folder from a 2.71 FW dump(271) that you had in DHv46 and rename it to f1. and put the f1 in the 303 folder that has the f0 of the 3.03 FW you dumped.
9.Launch up devhook and choose "FIRMWARE" from the devhook menu and pick 3.03. Now start devhook.
Note that if you used a previous devhook version that installed
to flash1, you should use the "uninstall DH files from flash1" option before doing this.(Launch up devhook and go to "FLASH ROM" settings)

hi guys!
Im a bit of a newbie with the psp so bare with me.I have a legit 1.5 psp (not downgraded).And im using devhook 0.44 or somit and it lets me emulate up to 2.71 but the new games i have like umds from a shop require like 2.81+. I have heard alot about devhook 0.52 and i think thats the way to go.
But i just want to check a few things:
Will devhook 0.52 allow me to emulate so i can play new games from the shops (umd's)
Will it allow me to play homebrew games isos roms ect
Finally if thats all right do u have a link so i can download it and instructions on how to set it up and use it?

Yes UMD's and iso's will work
The homebrew for Emus and roms will work in your 1.5 psp not in Devhook.

and i cant play the ISOs
killzone liberation to be accurate cuz that the only one i got
is it just that one or i need another "thing" to play it?

godofhell try more then one game so you can see if it's the game or devhook. (if it's one game that does not work then it's not untouched)
iron9 this is not a 3.03 OE-C thread.(only for Devhook)
and killzone liberation has to work if you have it in the ISO folder.(with 3.03 OE-C or Devhook)

Can anyone tell me what i need to do first on the PSP ver.2.71 new motherboard TA-082 previously downgraded(with hen b and devhook 0.46)
Do i just format my memory stick and reset my PSP to default settings
or do i have to unflash it as well? If so how do you unflash PSP.

this questions goes to anyone, is there any way to switch UMDs or iso while using devhook , the only way i could get back on the devhook main page is to go from 1.5 back to devhook to switch the iso that i want to play , is there a way to switch the game without going back to 1.5

dana2006 why don't you downgrade to 1.5?
If you flashed DHv46 you have to unflash it.(Launch up devhook and go to "FLASH ROM" settings)
If you did not flash it then your ok.
nypsp if you have DHv50 to DHv52 press Home in the psp menu and you will get a Devhook menu.(now you can look how you can switch UMD and iso's) in emulation
KAid no there is no USB mod for Devhook.
(only for 3.03 OE-C)search in ps3news.com

NYPSP to switch iso scroll across to game then down to memory stick place yor thumb on the home button and keep pressing the r button until you find the game you want
