Ah, I'm screwed. I can't emulate a firmware in an emulated firmware. I have 2.71 and I don't want to downgrade. Is there a way I can replace Devhook 0.51 BETA for 2.71 with Devhook 0.52's files so the Devhook still boots on 2.71 but instead, it boots .52 instead of .51?
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

percya what FW do you have? (if you do not have a 1.5 psp you will need to downgrade) that is why you get game is corrupted
BrendanL downgrade to 1.5 (I don't have a 2.71 psp so I can not help you) and I don't know if DHv52 work on a 2.71 with Hen-D
or you can try it with out flashing go back 1 or 2 pages for my tutorial.
Letrice didn't you say you had a 3.01? Go to the other thread and use the link to the downgrader turorial.
and you can not use USB in DHv52 with 3.11 FW.(you need a USB mod)

Question for juan2320,
The Guide you created for Devhook 52 manual install without flashing,
worked for me without a flaw, thankyou for that.
Will this guide be the same for the new DevHook v0.52.0100, as I would like to emulate 3.11.

i have a problem i used to be able to play sftb2.iso thru devhook emulating 3.03 and now when i put in the umd in devhook it FREZES what am i doing wrong? i want my isos and csos help
Also i have 3.03 oe-c are there any special configurations i have to make in the recovery folder?

Hi there everyone, first off...im a noob. And secondly...i was looking at the guide that Juan wrote and i was about to go get Devhook 0.52 like he said but i noticed on PSPhacks.com that there is a new Devhook 0.52.0100 which emulates firmware 2.11! :O
Well would you be able to write helpful noob guide for that? I mean you dont have to i was just sorta hoping to emulate the most recent firmware so im set for a while.
On another note i have 0.46 Hybrid(2.71 and 2.81 i believe), what do i do to get another Devhook? Do i have to delete this current one? If so, HOW?! lol. Do i just format the memory stick? I know how to do that, im not a complete noob:)
Also the term "PSAR Dumper" is used, what is that?
Many many questions! :D

@ Letrice yes you can run ISO's, you have to make an ISO folder in your memorystick.
I suck at installing stuff on the PSP. Help Please.

Don'n put the iso folder in the MP_root folder put in the the top most folder of the removeble drive Like E:/ISO You get it?
Do you have a iso or cso in it if you do launch devhook and then when it goes to the xmb press home (if the devhook menu does not appear) then chose emulation instead of umd then make sure a umd is in the drive and launch it and there you go

What Devhook are are running?(or Custom Firmware?) And what game are you trying to play? Maybe the game is too new and you need an updated FW?...

hey guys im running a 1.5 psp and use devhook to run 3.01 its working fine but i havent bn on here for a while so wondered if this is the best thing to be running at the mo for homebrew. also ive seen pictures of people having there games in the memory stick menu menu rather than having to load up devhook again if you want to change game how do u do this ??? o and one more sorry can u get rid or hide all them corrupted data files cos it takes long to flick through them to find wat i want. thanks guys

hi, i´m new here and i´m also new with psp stuff. i´d like to know if someone could tell me how to install the 3.10 oe-a version or where can i get the instructions step by step, cos i´m lnew with these things i don´t want to brick my psp.

What firmware do you have and there's always a chance of bricking when you install OE firmware so you can't be 100% sure you won't brick.

i think i have the 1.5, but i want to play the games directly from my MS, and have browser access that´s why i want to set the 3.03 oe-c or the 3.10 oe-a version, by the way, which one is better?

I don't know. A lot of people stick with 3.03 OE-C because it's better to flash it with custom things.

newgen06 it's the same thing but know you are dumping 3.11 FW.
Do not delete Devhook 52(you need it) you only need to put the new DevHook v0.52.0100 files over you old ones.(then dump FW 3.11 and put it in the 311 folder)
hack_man edit your post and don't post the same thing 3 times.(I will help when I have time)
Do other games work? (if they don't then reinstall DH)
Nephilim how did you let hack_man post 3 times the same thing?
Jesse1234 you need to install DHv52 before you can use the new one.(look at what I tell newgen06)
PSAR Dumper is the app you use to dump the FW you will use.
put the Devhook 52 files on your MS then the DevHook v0.52.0100 files over the other ones. (and dump FW 3.11)
Letrice if you have 3.11 FW you can not play any iso games or psp app's.(so do not try it)
np494309 you need to downgrade your 2.0 psp to 1.5 so you can use Devhook and play games.(look in psp-hacks for the MPH downgrader)
TOM321 and piojorate search for a 3.10 OE-A thread.(This is only for Devhook) and look in the Readme
