1ST Choice,Get the easy installer at the end of this post and there is a guide also for this at the end of the post Too.
at the start of the post in bold letters. So it is being recommended, and yes it is easy to install me thinks and saves a ton of time and heart ache.
Actually, I tried doing it myself and could not until I found this thread.

hey touran22 long time no see u,what happen and what heck u got suspended for what.i did put the easy installer at the end of the first post and it has 2.71,1.50(different background it is red but mines is prince of persia),gameboots are same,animated.
guys you can play gb,gbc,wonderswan using emulator 0.82d without booting to devhook,i mean to say you can just use your oringinal firmware.

HENC,fw1.50 and fw2.71
i have change the background for fw1.50 but if u want me to change
it to a different one then tell me
NOTE:if u do not format your memory stick mostly there will be problems.so backup any files u want and please format your memory stick.and do the steps
i already updated this so u don't need to move anything
and if the file cannot be uploaded then tell me in the forum,don't PM
coz i don't check PM'S sometimes,i hope u guys use torrent

Kondor I did use the easy installer to brick my pc.
Anyone have any idea on how to fix the blue screen of death? Or do I have a brick on my hands?

kealvalro, i'm wondering if you could tell me what's wrong...
i've installed everything myself following the instructions on the first page... i get to the initial devhook menu and set the settings, but when i go to select start, my screen goes black, and then shuts down..
any thoughts/ideas? i kno i've installed everything correctly...i've done it several times just to make sure, but i keep getting the problem

polo, what was the file name of the install you used?
PS, I got that caused by a faulty memory card once but taking the battery out cured it.

I did everything ... now how do I load my games?
I can see the game when i press home and use analogue.. but how to I select to play it?
If I choose to boot the UMD directly from devhook (the one where you can press start) it just goes black then back to the normal psp menu (just with devhook background)..

You need a disc inside to play the game. Maybe thats what your missing?

Hi guys , one question.
when i extract the downloaded game file sometimes its only iso or cso.
but sometimes there is 3 folder , its called iso ,dh , psp something like that , So when i copy all to mem stick i can play using devhook but i can see corrupted data on the game menu , is there any way to del it as in future i might not want to play this game

Hey! Thanks for this tutorial, I got very far. At first I thought I couldn't do anything with the new motherboard, but now I know better. I got everything on the tutorial finished, but I have some questions that I hope can be answered.
Can I now use emulators? SNES? If so, how?
Where do I put the ISO files at? Which directory in the mem stick?
And, least importantly, where can I find ISOs? Bittorrent?

Thank you all for the help I just finally got it all to work. Right now iam enjoying the world of iso's. I did however notice something funny, i have a iso (GTA LCS), when i convert it to cso(so i can fit more on my 2g MS) the game does lag. Are there any alternatives to compressing iso other then cso ?

no need to copy all 3 folders , I tried jus copying the iso file to mem card , it does not work , then i copy the other 2 folders then can play , but on ur game menu u will see corrupted data , thats Y i am asking is there anyway to remove it or juz leave it

i think he got suspended because of his sig...dont think its a correct reason its 286 by 180 and its 48.55 kb, matches the rules plus it couldv bn something else i guess here is the sig he got kicked about

oh i see,ok hey vampiro93 i have made the tutorial for your friends to use but i hope they understand it.and guy you have to make sure that u have put the firmware dump in the rite position.otherwise this will just bring to nothing but black screen.
you must know that i say that you can overwrite folders in desktop,coz this will just delete the old folder and replace it to a new one.just send at the files to your memorystick.

ummmmm yeah i have used the easy installer, HEN C works well, for a test a downloaded Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai.iso, put it in iso folder, ran everying, put in another UMD game, then a run it and gave me this message
"The system software of your PSP system is version 2.71. To start, you must update to version 9.99 or later. For update methods, refer to the PSP system instruction manual."
hmmmmmmm k, reminding that there is no such thing as a 9.99 yet
so little help cuz this is a WTF moment :P

Thanks Kealvaro u allowed me to start using my psp again!!!!!
Any1 having trouble running isos with the chunglam version, EG KILLZONE: LIBERATION, disable the HEN(2.71) option in the add-on menu and it may work. i was having trouble with killzone but after i was told that method on another topic, it worked fine.

lol where?? anyways i meant u could just get a rar archive with all the files in the correct place but not chunglams u see...it would be like u have a ta 082 psp and u put all the files and it owrks... just compress ur external hardrive into a rar file and put a link up to it so u can delete the manual bit and all i have to do is drag everything inside thatt rar to my ms root

Ok, read the whole thread.. I have 2.6 T-082 also etc... I know I need 2.71, ez installer etc.., I will start installing soon. The only question I have is do I need to have an actual game in the UMD to play iso's on my 4gb memcard?
