How did you get killzone liberation to work??
I havent been able to run this game but have had everything else work. Just one other thing...I have noticed that if i boot the PSP (proper boot to original firmware no henc or anything) that if I wait 30 seconds henC works everytime.
You then only need to shut off the PSP with a quick flick of the power switch and henc and devhook are still loaded (sleep mode). Just flick through your game iso's with the home and right click combo, insert UMD and play game. Unless something stuffs up there is no reason to completely reboot (hard reboot). I think this has ben mentioned.
I want to know if custom firmwares can be emulated...Does any one know??? Custom 2.71

Not to worry. I got this to work...Killzone liberation works fine now.
I turned off (disabled) 2.71(for henC) and booted immediately after. Cool. Am playing it now.

I was not asking if 2.71 can be emulated, I know that it can. I am wondering if 2.71 SE-B can be emulated(the new custom firmware that allows iso loading from the dashboard directly(i.e. you don't have to cycle through them w/ home + L) and devhook isn't needed.

when i run the DEVHOOK LAUNCHER VSHEX Mod i get to a menu
but i don't have
UMD SELECT : XMB-BOOT[usus-00001].cso
only
UMD SELECT : -- UMD DISC -- <DIR>
????????????

Hi guys,long time yup and i think vice city will come soon but do not know when.
minus5252 - i do not think you can emulate any of the 2.71 se,coz this will brick your psp and the 2.71se support is just for those 1.50 users not for us TA-082.if u do not have a TA-082 and it is below 2.71 then downgrade psp to 1.50 and upgrade to 2.71 se-b.yup that is the only way.
and cool guys,first i did not know about disabling HENC to play killzone,why didn't i figure that out,maybe i will keep that game and try it.thanks guys at least someone help me at last after giving to much help.
oh and i think 2.80 or 2.81 firmware dump will be out soon on november but i do not know if it is real.hope this will work for us too

ok time for a stupid question!
nothing is loading right its giving me that 80020148 error and devhook aint loading at all. Henc fcked up and just froze for 5 mins
and where do i put my isos?
im getting confused!!!!

kealvalro I'm sorry to bother you but as I posted previously I am having the same problem that other users have stated. When I use the easy installer and go to run hen it goes blue for 3-5 seconds then black followed by powering off. Do you or anyone else know what is going wrong and how others have fixed the problem. I'm using factory 2.71 w/ TA-082 board and fresh format Mstick. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

guys,need for speed carbon iso is out your can find it.i already got it
alex do this,try to download HENC again here
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/817
then open henc rite then you see "src" move this folder to memorystick root,overwrite if ask ok.
then go back once now you see "MS_ROOT" folder rite,now open it.
inside you see a bunch of files and the folder "PSP" rite.now move the bunch of files and the "PSP" folder straight to your memorystick root,overwrite all.remember dont place the files anywhere in your computer just place it straight to your psp.
try booting HENC after that.

OK... have u tried COMPLETE SHUTDOWN?
After shutting down... run HENC then the screen will turn blue (if it HANG) try shutting down again... turn on -> re-run HENC (after a complete shutdown, sure HENC will start)
after running HENC, PSP will restart. go to DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod.
if this doesn't help... maybe I'll send u a video how to do it..

Hi.
I've successfully get this to work. I tried few games and they're running fine, eg.Tekken Dark Resurruction, Megaman Powered up, Burnout Legends, etc. =)
However... I run into two problems
1. Megaman Maverick Hunter X won't load:
- I press 'home' and then press 'L' or 'R' to select the Megaman Maverick Hunter ISO.
- The 'UMD' icon should show up, but instead I got a message box that said "The disc could not be read".
2. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
- The game freeze at the start of the 1st battle.
I browsed the forum and foundthat VP:Lenneth problem should be about bad ISO.
And found a thread that said Megaman Maverick Hunter problem could be fixed by using the 'MPH loader' thing (but the thread is dated back since March 2006 -_-' )
Sure I'd re-download both ISO and try again but I will not have access to high-speed internet for 3-4 days.
Questions: =)
1. Are there anything that you think I can try for the time being? in order to get these 2 games to work.
2. Actually I'm new to PSP(just bought it last week). Are all RELEASED PSP game can be played by following the guide in this thread? (I have a TA-082 and 2.71 firmware) Or there are few titles that just can not be played, even now?

Well, maybe you got some bad isos for Mega man and Valkyrie. Try www.torrentspy.com or www.isohunt.com Mostly all the isos play but sometimes you have to do something called prx switching (soz, dont know much about that). Theres this page that tells you what needs to be done so they game can play > http://forums.psphacks.net/index.php/topic,13528.0.html So far, not many 2.8x games can be played but there are a few that can.

for e.g: can i run a nfs carbon eur iso on my 2.71 HEN emulated USA PSP??

hi guys im a bit of a noob but when it comes to this step i dont know what im doing wrong
this step doesnt work ?
4.hold the HOME[/bold} button for three sec then use the analog to move,ok now set these final settings
move the analog right in text font,put the cursor on internal font then move the analog left.
now put the cursor on status layout and move the analog right and choose ICON/HALF SCREEN.done
now press HOME,no need to hold.now u can see the image and details of the iso.
i have iso's but no worky so far

I have a problem with my Tekken Dark Resurrection . The game can run smoothly but the only problem is that i cant play the movies .. Even the opening movie .. It jus skips it and goes into Press Start Screen .. Any movie i want to watch cant be watched . it just shows a black screen then dats all . Anyone kno wats the problem ??

dikk usually if you download games that has the rip or ripped word then that mean its been edit by the user so that it will be smaller.
saucemang,you should be in 2.71 devhook and you must have chunglams version.if you do have it then when you get to the 2.71 devhook.hold the HOME button for three sec then you will see a menu pop out then u can do the rest.

i have done everything you say but i never get the home button part
do i do that when i have the devicehook open ? or do i do it when the app is in the mem card spot
i have done everything in your guide and have set up the device hook like you said
then u click start and do the hold home but nothing pops up
