Ok, I need you to do a few things for me...

1. Clean up your post by editing instead of posting 5+ in a row.
2. Calm down and speak english.
3. Read my tutorial, don't skim through it.

You are to place the "mini" folder that you should have downloaded from my first post and place it in the 'apps' folder on your xbox. Then you need to restart your xbox. Now, when you turn on your xbox, you will see the following options:

Launch Menu
Launch DVD
MS Dashboard
Reboot
Power Off
System Utils (You will have to scroll down to see this one)

After you have placed the "mini" folder in your 'apps' folder on your xbox and have restarted your xbox, and have done everything else in the tutorial; you should highlight the option "Launch Menu" and press A. Now Highlight "Apps" and hit A. Now highlight "Xored Trainer Launcher" and hit A. Now you just highlight Halo 2 (make sure you put the disk in AFTER you have entered Xored Trainer Launcher) and hit A. Then highlight Yelo and hit A. Highlight any options you want, and press A to turn them on. When you are ready to play, press start on the xbox controller.

Ok, so now, if you still don't get what I'm saying, I ask that you reply in a calm manner, and please make it only one post. You can edit by clicking on the tablet with a pencil at the top of your post.

Now, I'm going to see if I can get a moderator to come in here and hopefully clean that up a little bit.

Well, just get on your MSN, and I'll attempt to help you out.

As for the whole loading thing for your trainer. I can't say that anything should load. Do you even get to the point where it comes up with a blue screen that says Xored ETM/... Trainer and has names such as Acidflash and Mikerowsoft on it?

DVD2Xbox would show up on your EvoX dash even if you had no game on/in your xbox.

Just so long as you put it on there.

In the trainer Config. file it mentions some functions like

Quote:
white+dpad-left = vidcap
white+dpad-right = 360 degree shot

How is it possible to get these files since they appear to be a movie, instead of a bmp image.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

You see, this tool isn't that good. It doesn't take it into a movie format, it simply takes multiple pictures at a rapid rate.

Ok. Is there any way to make it work with the new maps, like Containment, Turf, Warlock, Tombstone, Desolation? I'd like to get some shots from Tombstone, but it disables the auto updates, which in turn disables the new maps.

I'm just going to take a wild guess here from memory. I think you may be able to take the maps off of the disk by just FTP'ing to the xbox and pulling them off. Then you need to save Halo 2 to your HDD (or make a new CD), and put the maps in the maps folder.

I'm not sure if this would work, you would prolly need a modified "default.xbe" file. You might be able to pull the updated one off of the disk as well.

Once again, not 100% sure, and I'm not home right now to check; sorry.

Yeah, I wonder if it could be as simple as renaming a map to load it as if it were one from the list... I'll have to try. I've really been wanting some shots of the new maps.

Well, most likely you'll have to go in and make you own modified "default.xbe" file so that it can read the new maps and adds them to the list. I'm sure if you do a little search up there you'll find it. Just search something like "Adding maps to Halo 2". I know I seen a thread titled exactly that just a few days ago.

Alright just a little update, I did try simply changing the name of the map on the hard drive. For example if you wanted to play the map tombstone, you'd need to find your highplains.map file and rename it to say, coagulation.map. After doing this, I just replaced it on the Xbox over the original coag, and booted with the launcher.

Note: You'll have to delete your cache partitions (x,y,z) for it to work.

No problem, it's apparent that this will probably work with any new maps that come out. I'm still having difficulty with the auto high res feature.

Quote:
white+dpad-down = auto hires grabber
Do you know much about this function? I haven't gotten it to work, and a higher resolution image would be nice, these are slightly small.

It's also possible to use the Uberscreenshot Tool to grab your images using this trainer, it takes some of the guess work out of batch processing.

I really don't know anything about this trainer. I didn't make it, I just made the excellent tutorial. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know that meant Hi-Res... idk, I don't mess around with it that much anymore.

Sorry :-/
