Guys N Gals,
Have a bit of a problem with my Starview2 "The Box", I have just put the 4.51 firmware into it today at a friends house, brought the box home and all that is happening is the display panel has green dots mooving from left to right, can any1 help?

Cannot flash boxes anymore, computer coming back saying flash update fail. have tried wire and software on another computer and there is no problem anyone any ideas

it might have been downloaded wrong by your pc.
1 suggestion would be to download all the software and firmware again.
for more info on bad flash goto fergusrb's thread for bad flashes.
just a post or two up !

prob have to wait for the codes to go down again Wilko.
I think thats the only way u will get the answer ( should be a few code changes on way to test its resolve ! )

I've flashed about 50 boxes and it just stopped working. have downloaded all files again even bought a new wire still the same

have my s/v clone on 2.57 can that work on ch;;us and autorol and how do you set box up for said company by the way arklow area

Thats a strange one. If it works on another pc it should work on yours ! and as you have done 50, im sure u know what ur doin.
( your deffo using a null modem cable ?)
Like i said , maybe its the PC itself. could have a virus or something !

yeah the cables are correct, if i bring the cable to work it works straight away but i dont want to bring them.suppose i'll bring my PC to the computer shop

It sounds like it has something on it ( im not an expert on PC) but im sure u have had the same reservations about it !
Il see if I can get someone to sort u out who has a bit more pc knowledge ! sit tight for now...

there is a fix out for the clone 257 (STAR_VIEW_H20060816_257eE_api_FIXED.bin )
should work on ch**us
reflash with that and autoscan . it should pick up alot ( but i think only 50-60 channels on ch**us)

pc the computer ypu are using now is it a pc or laptop also go to my computer right click go to property's hardware the device manager and look to see if there is any yellow explanation marks on there let me know
