-sigh- I just burned a copy of the DVD9 version and now I find out they released a new brick block. :\ Wasted a Dual Layer disc.

Beertent please tell me if it works. In addition, did you still patch it with regionfrii first?

Brickblocker seems to work, although i havent burned it when i patched it it said success.

Yes i had a few corrupt files, so i downloaded the Par files that went along with it and fixed the broken files with a program called quick Par that rebuilds rar files, happens all the time on newsgroups.

BTW my little guide there was on a US NTSC wii with 1.9g wiikey.

Anyone know where to get a translation for all the menus? If so PM me a link please, i couldnt find anything on gamefaqs, ill try google next.(not breaking rules here i dont think, translation should be perfectly legal.)

Is direct link posting not allowed for anything, or just illegal stuff? I found the translation here. If your not allowed links feel free to edit.

Alright, well since we still have to swap I'll probably just wait till they get it working. Thanks for the info Beertent. Also, fxskater thanks for the translation. I've been wanting that. :]

I just realized that the iso i patched with brickblocker was already regionfrii'd. SO im still not sure if just brickblocking it eleminates the swap. I have 1 DL left. Forget it! My 6 year old son already knows how to do the swap. ;)

Just burn the release in its original format no apps, just image burn or nero. It will not brick your system, just adds a couple useless channels, which you can transfer out of view. This update im convinced is for dual layer support only, it doesnt do anything to your setting.

DVD9 Runs as long as new wiibrickblocker is used. Wasted 5 disc Using IMGburn. I went to CloneCd and runs like a thief right now. Burned at 4x, freezes at movies. Burning one more at 2 x to see if I can get some video... Good game to all... We finally got this shit running.

Can't wait to see what this shit means and says!!!!! Gimme a Amen

For some reason the DVD9 version swapped from DVD5 always brings me to the green screen while playing 1 Player modes (usually during cinemas) after about 5-45 mins. The wii usually makes loud sounds before it freezes so I suppose it could be a problem with the Dual Layer reading. The DVD5 works fine though.

someone back in post say that if you used the water move game crashed, try and get the full dvd9 to avoid any crashing.

The dvd9 and dvd5 version works on friend codes. u cant play random online because nintendo detects your ping is too high from their japan server (at least thats the theory). Also the dvd9 version works with direct boot up on a wiikey console. However, some d2ckey's wiinja's and wiiD are known to have issues booting the dvd9 version (but can boot the original's fine lol).

Can you play original copy of Brawl (Dairantou X) on Wiikey yet? Can somebody just answer this question real quick? I'm about 20 pages behind on the thread and I don't have the patience to read it. Sorry...

yeah it works great but the update will add 2 extra news and weather channels to your wii, but there are ways to avoid it via brickblocker.

For the DVD9 version do you guys recommend Memorex or Verbatim? I've seen a little of both in the thread, but I'm not sure which one is generally considered superior. Also, will the new brick breaker prevent me from getting extra channels if I am using a D2CKey?

I'd use Verbatim but that just me. I use to use Memorex but Memorex DVDs lock up on the Wii a lot. I've tried with two different games already. Verbatim has never caused any problem for me. That's why I switched.
