Yes I put the firmware from the first page on, is that the latest?
I did a factory defualt then did a powerscan using the correct symbolfor my area code rught? my feed is in RF in. After I did the scan I got all channels i think, most channels are fine but a few channels are skipping, so they are not coming properly, is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening?

Check all your connections are fine, try taking any splitters out or replacing them with a better quality type or try a signal booster you can get them cheap off eb@y.

got to head off best of luck.

The wires were a bit messy at the back of my tv, i sorted that out, and the channels are working fine now,

Thanks a lot for the help.

Here's some advice for others.

1. I recommend the Eurovox EX1000SL, it is very small and looks good.
2. My fuse was faulty in the plug,so I had to replace it,so if no lights come on, check the fuse in the plug.
3. Don't have messy wires, try and keep things neat and tidy.

Btw, could somebody tell which boxes have two tuners, so you can watch channel whilst recording another channel. I know the eurovox's only have one tuner.

Thanks.

Glad to see you have tidied up and all is well, as regards a two tuner box, The Starview PVR has two tuners, but you are better off judging for yourself. >>>

Yep on the sauce Scouser big style, but it pi$$es me off when people ask questions regarding the guide outside the guide it doesn't make sence.
As for the sig it will stay regardless of the outcome, I enjoy the piss take LOL :)

After connecting I was expecting to get the following as per your guide
"Plug in the power cord on the Eurovox unit and wait until (----) appears on the front display. If it has been flashed before you will see 4 digits instead "
But I dont seem to get that. As I had been trying to use the bax when i arrived it brings up the scanned channals. So I just go ahed and follow step 3 of the guide.

After clicking download, and start, the PC makes a clicking sound and the screen shows it going through the ports, then responds that the reciever is not responding and gives radi buttons to make a selection from the ports. after selecting the port it then just freezes because there seems to be no communication beween the two.

Also while doing this do I need o be connected to the internet although I have downloaded the file onto the PC?

When you look in device manager and then click on the + at the side of COM/PORTS, what is yours assigned too?

When following the guide at stage two I do no get the following

"Plug in the power cord on the Eurovox unit and wait until (----) appears on the front display. If it has been flashed before you will see 4 digits instead"

It just take me to one of the scanned channals. So I just follow stp 3 and after clicking on download and start, the screen shows the different port while the pc makes a clicking sound. Following that if gives a message that reciver not responding and gives the option to select one of the ports from the selection. After making a selection the screen freezes and responds buy saying that reciever not responding. It seems that he two are not communicating.

Try changing that to com 3 and then try the UFL, if com 3 its not empty use the same method to move anything using it to another com.
