Have you tried your box as it usually takes 90 secs to flash in total, it then says downloading failed and usually changes to downloading is successful.
Plug it back up to the TV and try it, be patient for it to update.
Still no joy! I tried to flash again as above and it says downloading failed. I have left it connected but no change after ten mins or so. Did a scan then on the telly and the epg and channels are there but Code being updated msg still there and nothing to watch!!! I must be doing something really simple wrong.... but what is the problem!!!!
Any ideas???

you need to input the latest codes once after u flash

i have the latest firmware for eurovox tx but its still not working, firmware date is 23/11. have done a factory reset and it picks up all the channels on automatic scan but once i has done this it just reverts back to "data is being updated...[0%]" any ideas? :-(

yes have looked at that already m8, no mention of the tx on that page, unless of course its known as eurovox 1 or 2

Thanks Gary, I put in codes and workin fine. This is second roll in last few days and after the first time the codes were found automatically on my EX5000 but not this time. Would still like to update the fireware and still having the same problem....
Ill hve to input manually from now on??

the firmware you have quoted is dated 18/04/08 & doesint fix this problem need a more recent one,any ideas?

I followded all instructions, but no change, flashed it twice still wont update. tried rescan but to no avail, tried default key, no joy either, have you any ideas??

Hi all
trying to flash my max V. I've got the latest software (5-12-08), connected the null modem (after getting the drivers), but when I run the software it is not talking to the box. I am getting a 'waiting for a response from your receiver' message and it gets no further. i've tried unplugging afew times and restarting the software, but no joy.
I know it souonds like its not a null modem, but i'm positive I used it for this purpose last time and it looks exactly like the photos in the first post (has a big 'N' on it and was bought in maplins).
Amny help gratefully received

You will get the firmware from the first page of this thread, and to recognise if you have a clone, just shine a light through the top vents and if you see red blobs over the screws on the circuit board then it is definatley a clone, also the connections to each board should be a flat ribbon in most cases. That's the best I can do at the minute.
