yeah just changed the software there to the 5/12/08 au
and still states that the firmware is not fit for the reciver after 3 goes ill keep going to see if it changes anytime soo.
its in my mind to short part of the firmware memory and moving on from there but thats jsut what i tend to do with other pieces of hardware i use i dont think it is the same here, the hardware is very different anyway
what might be interesting is that i try to download/upload a channel dump and the diallouge box comes up and it flashes between com1/com3 and the start button remains greyed out...?
and im pretty sure that it is the genuine max v 08 and not a clone

Delete what your downloaded from page 1 and try them again.
Thanks for quick reply HiTeck ,have tried deleting downloads from PC box is stuck on 0001 can't get that to move or show anything on screen.When I download new cloneware get message from WinRaR unexpected end to archive and it will not load to box

should have mentioned i gave that a try already, and while pressig the button inside, im not sure if i held the button and then plugged in the AC can try that again
but the box making the transfer just keeps searching for ages
its the same box though alright and that one is working perfect.
ill also mention that mine stays in standby just with the red light and 4 green dashes the power button on the box unit does nothing at the minute

Are you using the Loader and the bin file? if yes which one isn't working? when you try to extract it.

currently im using the UFL program that you jsut sent, i tried using the dnupman program but the tsop08.bin file was not the right file or something to that extent i cant remember how the program worded its message, think it might have said incorrect file,
but i did get that to work properly i dont think
have you a link to a bin file and program that might work?

it makes me think that i would have a clone but im pretty sure its not with the vent count and the scart being to the porper side (i think anyway)
might be a time to give up on it?
id like to give jtagging another go but im not sure of the proper set up for it

Just downloaded bin Evmax-blue-011208-core-140207 and DnUpMan v4.2 when I run DnUp dwnld box opens in firmware it says invalid file beside download.When I press dwnld I get a box with version 1.00 detected I press start it starts for about 3 secs and then stops I can get no further

no worries its been a long few days and easy to make mistakes,the usual thing to look for is inside the box ie white ribbons loose and not connected,and green gobs around the screws.there was a thread a few months back about max v clones but im not sure if anyone confirmed it to be true or not,i had a root and found it so have a look HERE

well none that i cant tell by eye at the minute
i could track around it with a multi meter and see that way
though i could have damged something with my own static
probably not worth sending back anyway

Hi can anyone help. I have a Eurovox Max V. It was working perfectly until this week, so I loaded the latest firmware UFL_MAX_V_5_12_08 to it. I live in Dublin and am on N*L.
The problem now is when I scan it to get channels I am getting about 20. I have followed the instructions on page 1 of this thread and used symbol rate of 6887.
I have re loaded the firmware again and scanned again and again.
No luck. I now have 18 channels?

System info is:

If you put your own original subbed box on and you are still having problems with the channels then you know it is not a fault of the EV but a problem with your cable supplier and therefor you need to contact them.

Are you using any splitters or working from the main feed ?
You could upload a dublin cdf and see if that works for you.
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

I am running off a split from the main feed. The other TV from this feed is working fine and the Eurovox was working fine ie picking up all the channels, until N*L did whatever they did this week. I was looking for a Dublin CDF but could not find one. Any ideas?

[hi teck, how can i check on the subbed vm box as i dont subscribe to those channels...also, if i contact them, they will ask why as those channels are not on my package....do u see what im saying?
