hiya i have wrote in b4... cannot seem to flash with new firmware, but do have 8.00e_exe boot ver 8.0 june 08 on me starview the super box, do i definately need to update the firmware on this??? or will i have to keep typing in the codes... i have tried everything i can think of to get me box working.

Unless you want to keep manually entering the keys, then yes you need to update the b0x.
The 8[1].02 is what you need.
You`ll find it on the last link under my sig.

yer thought so.. but having trouble flash. keep gettin flash driver fail. never used to get this problem.. and am following all the advise... dont know how i can fix it :(

If you`re using a usb to serial port adaptor, click here for drivers:

Yep, would agree 100% Des lol, but it would be to easy!! then LOL ;) only joking, you know it is not going to happen. And eire08, as previously said to you, in you know what, well done and pleased for you, and your clone fears are now laid to rest as well LOL now you take care and enjoy. ;)

hello ...cheers for the reply... i have the driver disc for the usb serial connector, which has worked always in the past, but just having the trouble. just keeps saying flash driver failed, an stays on 0% :( any ideas

Des, can you help please. I have a starview 1 box which I updated with the latest fix and was working perfectly. Then on Christmas Eve when I switched the box on it just says 'bad or scrambled channel' on all except terrestrial tv. I have tried to put firmware on again but no joy. I also have a starview 3 box which I updated and is working fine, but on the same day as my starview 1 went down, when I first switched on, this box started to do 'data updating' and seemed to stick at first but then kicked in and is ok. Any ideas on what I can do with my Starview 1 box?? Thanks

Hi,i have just purchased stsrview 4 super usb and connected straight from the box. i get all channels,however if i go to standbye and switch back on i get sound but no picture on the dollar sign ch----ls.also sometimes i lose picture when on, i switch off and on at the box and all is well. also i can not move ch----ls in edit, should i flash the box through usb to fix, please help

Yes, you would be better advised to first check in System Information, and then put on the latest fix, from Eamo's FTA Library (doubt that will be on it), it's strange how you are running it straight from the box, usually supplied FTA only. But you want this file on it V1.07 okay, that should sort it for you.

Hi All,
Thank you for all your help before. I have two of these 'TheBox' . I have applied the codes to both of them. ONe of them is now working fine but the other box (even though it has got all the ch****ls) it constantly switches off and on every 2 min ... this is without me changing the channels or switching off the box. IT doesnt even go on the standby it automatically switches off .... !!!
Do you think thebox is broken completly or have i got some HW/SW problem. your help is much appreciated.
Also please note this has only started to happen since I updated the code.

thanks for the help, i have updated the box to 1.07 as you recommended, i think all is well, however i still do not have the option in channel edit to sort or move as these are not available to highlight. as i have several channels triplicated i do want to sort, is this a common problem or is the box faulty ?,

hey, i am currently in dublin and have had the box super since the summer. up until now it has worked fine but the other day i turned it on and all the channels were gone except about 3 or 4(setanta ireland, sky sports xtra, rte 1). all the other channels have a blue bar saying "channel is being updated" but are staying at 0%. paramount +1 updates to 220% and then goes back to 0%. any help would be greatly appreciated

It's been a good 10 days then since you last used the Box Super, as they all went down on the 18th of the month, see very first post by scOuser. >>>>>>>>>>>

hello ive got a arnet a700c cable box that was giving me all the channels i wanted but its gone on the blink a few weeks ago and i havent a clue what flashing or firm ware is but ive got a wire that connects my box and pc but can some one give me a solution to what i need to do as the lad who sorted it last time has gone awol so pleases please some kind sole help me pleasssssssse ????? thanks
