Hi,
Great guide...thanks!
I followed it closely, made the MMS with no problem...put battery into tool mode with datel battery service tool(hope this was ok), activated MMS in service mode. Pressed X to install custom firmware...it started installing...then froze for at least 10 minutes.
I put battery back into normal mode...no power at all. I went back to service mode with new MMS...nothing. I have tried creating three different MMS on multiple 32bit XP machines...none boot up in service mode. Any ideas?
Thanks again.

I haven't modded a PSP in a while, tried this out and got to this step:
You are about to format the drive f.
All data will be lost. Do you want to continue? [Y]
So i type y, press enter and it stops.
Could this be a problem with MS? I've looked through the thread but not seen anyone else with this problem.

No it won't brick your psp. Just follow the guide and read each section that pertains to the psp you are using.

Are you using a card reader or your psp to format. Are you sure you selected the right Drive for your psp or card reader.

Did you get this screen at the end and did it write boot code successfully.

You may have to try another memory stick if you can't get that one working or try another computer if you have one.
Just check the troubleshooting section as it should work exactly as written.
Format your mc on psp, then connect to pc via usb, and see if there are any files on it just to make sure your memory stick is ok
Double check your Drive Letter

Yh sorry i forgot to mention that before that the last screen shot does not sow. I tried it on three diferent memory sticks that all work fine for other stuff. I checked the trouble shoot and everything seems ok. One of my friends wrere telling me about some partition thing. The thing is I have used this method before, when unbricking my own psp and it worked. I used the same things, same memstick and stuff but now it doesnt work.

There is nothing to fix. They all work perfectly fine for me. Mediafire could have been down when you tried it the first time. But there is nothing I can do about that. All I go now is I checked them and they all work fine for me.

I also hard moded ny battery by scratching the board not cutting the
5th. leg
don't worry about that.after putting cfw you can use apencil to fill the scratch.that is NOT my idea and i've read it somewhere else

I read some of your previous questions on what to do if you have original firmware on your psp. you always redirect them to the original firmware part of your guide. All this portion of your guide seems to do is tell you to use a hard modded battery, but isn't this what they've been doing the entire time? Or is a hard modded battery different from a pandora battery?

Official firmware users
1st option - purchase a pandora battery or converter
2nd option - hardmod your battery
Pretty clear for Official firmware users. Its right in the guide
One option is where you purchase, and the other option is do it yourself.

You can read the first three posts of this link

It sounds like you can't put your battery in service mode using the pandora battery creator.
You will have to purchase a pandora battery.

Try another memory stick. You will have to do a search for hard modding the battery.
I would recommend buying the service tool or pandora battery.
