Getting offensive because you can't pull the wool over people's eyes? Your posts have contributed so much to this thread, so good to see you are maintaining your obvious low standards for intelligent debate. Maybe one day you might say something sensible instead of resorting to playground antics.

Which school did you say you go to again?

Dear Woof811, Enet got several different suppliers for media. You should check with Enet who does printing and packaging for this lot of "Ridisc" which you are going to buy.

Says the man who sell's a class disk that has no trouble at all. Yet if we look at this thread and other forums it is the most unstable media money can be wasted on. I dont need to pull the wool over any ones eyes.

I just sell media and if it goes wrong I swap it. yep it is that simple. unlike your good self who sells media and if it goes wrong you blame it on the burning software, your firmware, the way you are burning, well anything really just so you can justify the disk. And know you have gone over to TY very good, very expensive all 1 line of it.

I would rather buy a good TDK and know it is a half decent disk at a half decent price.

Maybee Alex you should go back in to comics you seemed to be half good at this job.

Take care

Do you never get bored with making yourself look like an ass Dave? My TYs that are currently in stock were a market testing order, my regular disks are out of stock and enroute from HK. The TYs will soon be available as printable, +r and 8x so instead of blowing smoke out of your ass, I say again, when are you going to add something constructive to this discussion.

As for my employment history, I have been involved in areas you could only dream of, everything from system testing government systems, to running a charity for abused kids to lecturing at university. You have the ability to google, very good. Now like I said, let's see if you can extend that ability to sensible debate, which I doubt very much based on what you have shown us so far.

Hello Dora (TerrificF), yes I confirm you appointed me as offical distributor for Ritek in the UK..

Dave22.. Glad you deal in Wales only, I personally have shipped to more than 40 countries worldwide, still not wish to tell us who you are then? Sad isn't it!

Anyway can we get back to the media discussion.. one of my Taiwan agents emailed me this this morning, has anyone seen this media -

"There are some B,C grade Ritek come from Ritek China. the price is very cheap.
the center number is K3*******.
The defect rate is about 20%...
and the discs quality is not good..."

Mr Yang,

I will check the samples that were sent to me by e-n*t's supplier the K3 looks very familiar for some reason ;)

Incidentally, their supplier is visiting me at the end of this month which should be interesting, I will let you know how it goes.

Dear Mr. Yang, many thanks for your help. As I mentioned before, it's better to "stick" with a reliable distributor than a manufacturer. While daily production process always comes out some false products. It is important how those manufacturers deal with those fales media. They can destroy them; they can dump them on market through trading companies;they can mix up good and fales media then sell on market. If the manufacturer doesn't control well channels to get rid of those fales media, then it happens what is happening now.

Incidentally Mr Yang and TerrificF:

You seen the Commodore media yet? I received some samples by courier yesterday and man was it a blast from the past. I worked on a couple of games that were released by codemaster's for the commodore 64 waaaaaaay back, so despite the fact that they do not OEM I am seriously considering stocking them simply because they are commodore. I haven't tested them yet or checked the MID but I will keep you updated. The packaging was very nice though :)

MR Yang: Would you be kind enough to answer my previous question as quoted below?
Quote:
Mr. Yang, can you please tell me -as I had asked you in my previous question- if you offer any branded Ritek A Grade DVD-Rs? I could find only white top CloneDisc DVD-R in your site, but couldnt find any Traxdata DVD-R (only Traxdata DVD+R you have?) or other branded DVD-R by Ritek? So, have you got any Traxdata DVD-R, or any CloneDisc DVD-R branded?

The CloneDisc DVD-R is A Grade Ritek.

No I dont order "Ritek Branded" DVD-R. However I do have a new product next week which is the Arita Silver Surface... this is so I am told an A grade disc with Arita branding but silver special addition. I will reserve judgement until it is received because all Arita as far as I am concerned is supposed to be B or C grade...

Hi,

I think there is a huge amount of bad media out there from many companies; I have found the intenso stuff to be pretty consistent.

Can someone tell me what their chosen media is, we stock quite a lot on our website but I want to stock more consistent products as for a retailer it is a nightmare selling stuff that gets returned.

Regards

Pretty SAD! The DVD and CD's that are sold at local stores seem to really suck. Here's one for ya, I bought DVD+R Memorex discs and when I got home and opened up the package, they were labeled DVD+RW! They were not re-writables as labeled. I thought that was enough for me, a big company like Memorex throwing out to the public a bunch of bad and mislabeled products, what a joke.

Anyway, what I have found is that it's pot luck. Buy discs and hope for the best.

I am new to DVD writing and have been having a nightmare time with Write Failures. Originally I put it down to a fault with my hardware, but all of a sudden after 10 straight failures, one disc would work.

The discs I am using are Datapaq, now thanks to this thread ill try using a differant brand of DVD before paying for expensive repairs!

Thanks for that!
