As I mentioned before, you shouldn't stick any particular manufacturer or brand. Where you buy is more important where the product is manufactured. Each manufacturer produces variable qualities while normal daily production. No matter who is the real manufacturer, a "decent" distributor supplies reliable & stable quality to market. Datapaq and "Mountain & Water" of Ritek discs are very good example. Even Ritek doesn't have 0% failure rate.

I speak with my consciece although I'm also an "insider". Everyone blames Enet but Enet cannot do anything without "support" from Ritek. Don't forget that Enet was also "official" distributor for Ritek Europe(Conrexx). If Ritek well controls channels to clean up downgrade media, Enet won't have any chance to do so. Users shouldn't be superstitious any certain brand or manufacturer. Each manufacturer does produce "shit" while normal production but a decent distributor doesn't sell "shit"

A question for Mr Yang, I bought some media from the site you always promote. some dvd+r clone discs and some +r traxdata and when tested or used with decrypter it tells me thet are both Ricoh jpn R01. So these are not ritek at all but ricoh so what does this mean?
The traxdata +r has k3 in the centre this all from a site that is suposedly all genuine ritek?????

DONT BUY YOUR DISCS AT KETTA.COM!
Last month I bought 50 DVD-R "ritek grade A Media", in spindles with an orange packaging. About 20 just went to the trash... I even thought my burner was dead, and bought a new one :-(

Ricoh have their disks made in the Ritek factory to the top Ritek spec. If any disks are not printed properly then other brands take over. The disk itself is the highest quality Ritek can offer!
Ricoh even have an office at the Ritek factory!

I have started using Ritek branded discs after having a nightmare with Datapaq (at one point I was suspecting my writer was at fault!) Out of 25 discs I had 23 failures. On the Riteks I havent had a failure yet!

I nave been using Ritek "Branded" media from a well known "3 lettered" UK suplier..and I am now suffering horrendous problems. IE Poor surface finish on blank, scratches, read errors etc etc. Reminds me of the bad ole "Princo" days of time long ago!!.

Did you get the branded Ritek in a cake box of 25 or the ones in spindles of 50 or 100?
I used to get the ones in spindles of 50 (shrink-wrapped at the factory) and they were flawless. I never got the ones that had been re-packed in cake boxes for fear of getting scratched disk, dust, etc.

Oh yes I just read that properly Naked Geek!
Yes well the 50 spindle disks are proper A Grade. Anything else will be less than that unless they come with an official certificate.
I hear that there is a new brand on the way that will blow everything else out of the water and it's not from e-N*t...

Cakebox of 25, I'm afraid.
I must admit this situation depresses me no end, luckily I dont use many blanks these days. I am now going to switch to TY dye for a change.

Why don't you buy from a Conrexx distributor like www.dvd-and-media.com ?
They only deal in A Grade media and not the mixed grades like ESVEAPEA

No disrespect intended to svp or their staff, they are a nice bunch of people, they just need to find another supplier other than e-net then maybe they can start putting quality disks in their stores instead of just cheap rubbish.
I noticed svp have started selling Taiyo Yuden disks too at a price ***I do not believe*** was from an official TY distributor. I suspect they got the cheap TY rejects I was offered from taiwan a couple of months back, their pricing is about right for the disks I got offered, but I phoned TY to confirm authenticity and they knew absolutely nothing about them.

How do you dare to say that when your DVD-R discs are just cheap AN32 media which is junk no matter how well you apply the dye?
