Can someone answer the question about booting from an Action Replay?
Like I said before, the disc keeps spinning even if the disc tray is open (for the small PS2s) so how would you switch games? If you try and take it out, when you put the other one in, it won't read right.

The break of day is but beyond a cry of hidden sorrow.

You need to remove one of the slim tools so the ps2 knows its open, then boot with SM & replace the slim tool.
Use forum search for a detailed explanation, as there is a topic somewhere (might be Software Booting forum) that covers your question.

i only have luck with 4x, 2x makes the game laggy and anything over 4x does the same thing slow boot and load, you might need to update your driver on your dvd drive

Well as long as you have the ISO file, just burn it in DVD Decrypter at either 2x, 4x, or half the DVD speed. (MAX) and it should work. Most times it will. But there are sometimes where dumb things will happen.

Please dont post the same question in more than one topic. Refer to your own topic for an answer to that.

Of course you can. It's a computer.

That's like asking if you can play DVDs on a Slimline PS2.

Sorry, I'm kind of in a bad mood right now.

I've got a set of SwapMagic discs and the MagicKeys II for the slimline PS2. I had trouble with part 3 of the MagicKeys (the part that goes in near the hinge for the cover) so I opened the PS2 and taped that switch down.

I got the SNES Station emulator and some games that I am able to play on it. I would like to play a backup DVD of Need for Speed most wanted. I used DVD Decrypter to read and create an ISO file, and used Nero to burn it. When I put the disc in, the "Need for Speed Most Wanted" game logo appears, but the EA sports logo doesn't ever show up and nothing happens. It just stops there.

I read somewhere that certain games require a patch to the ISO file (?) and one of the patches was for EA sports games. I tried patching the ISO using adr_patcher, this copy did not boot at all.

I've been searching forever and still no luck.

Can anyone give me a tip on what I can do to make a working backup of Need for Speed Most Wanted?

NFS Most Wanted should work just fine. No patching or rebuilding required.
What media brand are you using?

HOld it, how do you get emulators on the PS2?

Hey, you know what would be cool, if you could play StepMania from your hard drive on the PS2 through the magic disc or however you'd do it. Would that not be so freakin' cool?

ok i have a question and i've read all the posts up to this one.....

how do you burn torrent files for ps2 games to a cd in a way that it will be burnable and work.

i'm probably not going to get a swap disk unless it's absolutly necessary but i have DVD Decrypter and a slim ps2.

you cannot burn a cd with DVD Decrypter if you dont want a swap disk then buy a chip, the swap disc is cheaper, and only burn the origanal

I'm using Memorex 8x DVD+R to burn.

I haven't tried any other games but I don't see why they wouldn't work, I've made backup copies of some DVD movies using AnyDVD/CloneDVD and haven't had a single problem with those on the PS2.

I'm going to try to make a backup of one of my other games now.

I will post an update shortly.
