LOL you can copy SM actually but it is pointless as all hell, cause the only way to boot it would be with a legit version of swap magic....so yeah, pointless. I know, I tried it :/ Biggest waste of a Taiyo ever!

I was told it is the ISO file you need to burn. I used DVD Decrypter and tried Alcohol 120% but never tried bitlord.

He didnt use bitlord to try burn the game,

bitlord is his download client,

Extract the .RAR files agin and should get an ISO, the rar files will nto disappear though, right click an rar file choose EXTRACT HERE, and in a min there will be an iso in the folder where you saved x men 3.

gamistras, when you download from any when you download torrents they are almost always seperated into a bunch of files. some are zipped, some arn't.

just right click on one of the zipped ones (it really doesnt matter which one) and then click unzip here (assuming you have WinRAR, it's the best) or choose a place to unzip.

then it will start unpacking it, using both of the different types of files to do this.

once it's finished, you should be left with the .iso of the game.

open up DVD Decrypter- mode-iso-write (of Course)
AND ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO USE THE LOWEST SPEED POSSIBLE!!!!!!!

then burn away, and use your swap method to play and whatever, and ur done.!!!!

hope this helped

LMAO 110 pages and peeps are still asking how to make backups!? Come on now, there is this thing call reading, and it helps A LOT when you have a problem. Im sure none of us have a problem answering question, but come on now, 75% of the questions are answered in the first 3 pages, god only knows what wealth of knowledge is in the other 103 :D

im with you stang if people have the time to make backups then you would think they have the time to read or at least skim the previous pages,, most of these questions are answered an the previous 1-2 pages, i dont mind helping but do a little leg work and by the way dont admit to downloading gamwes that is piracy, this thread assumes that you OWN the game

I had the same problem with Scarface. i used Swap Magic 3 and DVD Decrypter. The problem you will be having is your Swap Magic 3 needs to be updated. This is very easy to do but it means you have another disc to load in before you put in your backed up game. You need to download zoneloader, there are 2 versions, one for DVD backup games and the other for CD backup games. You can get both from here but you will need to register to get them. It is free to join and download the files. http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/ Once you have downloaded them, extract them using WinRAR then burn the ISO file onto a DVD for the DVD version and CD for the CD version. Once you have done all that load Swap Magic, then the zoanloader then your game. Enjoy!!

Either read the thread, buy a chip, or buy swap magic. Either way, you will need to spend a few dollars.

closing the thread would be a bad idea then you would not be able to get the help you need, people are just lazy and want something for nothing, this is a great thread with lots of info and alot of good input, same thing will happen the next time around if this was to be closed

i must say thank you to all the people that do take the time to help and repeat themselves, it is nice to know that this is help if you need it, as long as you try to find the answere your self FIRST

You have to buy Swap Magic, a copied version or downloaded version will be no good.

And it begins to go downhill again :/

Mods please make it so this is in everybodies post

aah. reading this thread, i reminisce on my younger days when i was after doing the same thing. i would just like to take this oppertunity to state the fact that YOU R A N00B. aahhh that felt good. all hatered, anger, and kitty-squishing urges aside, ill tell u flat-out wut to do, how to do it, and who to do it with:

1) take a ps2 game and pop it into ur dvd burner/reader r wutever have you.

2) use some sort of program (i like Nero) that will read the ps2 game and make a copy of it onto your computer. this copy is called an ISO.

3) take a blank DVD (+R, preferably) and gently or roughly place it into ur DVD burner/reader r wutever it was that u claimed to possess.

4) use that same program u used to make the ISO back in step #2, to burn the ISO onto this new blank DVD.

ur ps2 wont recongnize this DVD that u burned. aww damn u screwed urself over now. i mean u read like 10 lines of plain text for what? bwahahaa. ok im jk. this is natural. and for this reason, you need a disc called Swap Magic or something similar. you also will, of couse, need to learn how to swap.

seriously, i dunno y u n00bs bother burning DVD's, just use hd loader

suchaboy if you have rar files then you will need to use WinRAR, if you have the origonal(prefered) then use DVD Decrypter go to mode, hit iso, read, and press burn then take that file go to mode, iso, write, burn at 4x and you are done use -R if possible andthen use your swap magic or mod chip to play the game it is that easy
