nice one; most that come here post duplicate threads all over the place and when pointed to the right place won't take the time to read the previous pages and workarounds in the thread; it gets highly annoying for those of us that strive to keep the place lean and clean for those that need the help

for you people having trouble with saw4 i used 1Click DVD and had no trouble also DVD43 with that. I have used iClick for a long time with little or no trouble,it is easy and comes with a second copying program. Also they have a good support group. You can download a trial copy at their web site free.www.lgsostwareinovations.com

Thanks guys,
as usual I get all the help I need here. I used the dvdfab today and got perfect back ups of saw4 and 3:10 to yuma.
I'm gonna miss ripit4me, I loved how simple it was to use, but see no need for it any longer.
Thanks again,
Chris

You don't have to give up ripit4me. It will still work on a lot of movies. The trick is to accumulate the various programs out there and be able to use them in getting the harder discs done.:)

First I ripped the game plan, then tried to RIP saw iv - didn't work, so i burned game plan, then went back to saw iv again - nada!
Alllready for whatever reason some drives have problems reading some hard to do new releases I have a new sata Lite-On that has the same problem now and then when my Plextor/Pioneer
drive will read it fine. thats why i always have two different brands of drives in my case. using the latest beta versions of dvdfab decrypter or anydvd may fix that correct the drive reading it
Hmmmm...well that makes sense. I am close to taking the Liteon 16x drive back. It has worked fine up to now. Actually I think I will. I appreciate you replying.

IMHO dvd43 is a complete waste of time for anyone serious about backing up their movies.
Thanks for silencing the salesman Creaky.

If you read the previous 10 pages of this thread you will find it has been solved. Multiple times, in various ways. Lol.

eh ?, you missed DVDFab (the permanently free version) to rip to hard drive, then use program of your choice to shrink if necessary

Yes he definitely sounds like a salesman....he doesn't have to much of a specialty since a newbie like me read the threads asked a few questions and had it done the the day after the movie came out!!!!! And I don't think I would've trusted him anyways.....always faithful to AD members who actually know what they're talking about :)

I'm having a completely different problem backing up the movie...I'm getting the scratched disk message (I read the entire 11 pages so please read my entire post before the flames start) on Saw 4 and Shoot Em Up. Both disks are brand new from Wal Mart and there's no scratches. I've tried all of the ripping programs listed and they generate the same error, yet I can play the full movies through the same drive without any problem.
This may or may not be related, but I also noticed my dvd drive (both are Lite-On btw) reads at 2x now. Besides telling me to buy a different brand's drive (which is what I'll eventually do), any ideas?
