Just copy the second movie on SawIV, the first movie, chapter 25 is bogus. That is why you are getting the CRC errors, the latest versions of ANYDVD will correct that problem.

I've tried all of the ripping programs listed and they generate the same error, yet I can play the full movies through the same drive without any problem
did you try the latest beta versions of dvdfab decrypter and anydvd? did you try doing the movie only? you want to do the shorter title, the latest versions will do the trick

This may or may not be related, but I also noticed my dvd drive (both are Lite-On btw) reads at 2x now. Besides telling me to buy a different brand's drive (which is what I'll eventually do), any ideas?
your drive has slipped into PIO mode you need to get it back into DMA mode you can do that in device manager by uninstalling the IDE controllers rebooting and let windows reinstall them or use this guide

I had the same problem with my Lite-On drive not able to read DVDs but my Plextor/Pioneer read them fine so invest in a Pioneer drive next time

lol hook line and sinker, now that i have the attention of the super computor wizards, try and copy swap magic on cd and have it working for the playstation .Oh and another thing, I think when most people are reading forums they most likely go to the last page, to see if the problem they are having with anything is solved there.then they would go back to the previous page and so forth, so come on people not all know everything.

if everyone would read the thread or at least glance though it they would find several ways to back this title up.

instead we are spoonfeeding every nOOb that posts he can't back the movie up which is getting old

^^Amen to that Zoso^^

This title is NOT that difficult if, as stated multiple times in the last three or four pages, they would just READ the pages and pages of answers awaiting them.

It's obvious that after 12 pages, it seems that NO ONE is able to back up this movie up. What will we do when Saw V comes out? The movie people have won one.LOL

ive really been trying to stay away from the saw 4 threads but this thing is like the energizer bunny....it just keeps going and going and going. i would add something but everything has already been covered, so whats the point. just make sure ur software is up to date and everything should be fine. i did this one last week with no problems. just do a little reading and everything should go fine.

I am most proud of Mumzee in that she started as a newbie and then asked a few questions. With NO expierence in backing up, she managed to back up this movie and others by doing ONE very important thing, she took the time to read and follow all the suggestion by all the contributors. That is to say, she followed the directions and read the entire thread, something others with problems have not. Because of Mumzee, I may have to give it up on blond jokes. Imagine a blond ( no less a female blond ) whoops a bunch of non blonds in a fair backup. You are my kind of female blond Mumzee! ( or just maybe you really are a brunette who bleached her hair blond )

doggie8 - i've edited my reply; however the reason i get so cheesed off (once in a very rare blue moon) is the sheer amount of lazy posts here, irrelevance etc etc, kinda gets old when it's every blessed day; ps i wouldn't criticise peoples' spelling, we just don't want irritating/lazy text speak on the forums, our forums are enough of a mess with the hundreds of closed posts in most forums thanks

hey there doggie, please don't get your pants in an uproar, actually I was trying to stick up for ya, I really tought you were an adolescent trully I did, you can't get on none of us by getting on your spelling really, it was kinda way out there.

I have visited other threads, and a lot do work on your terms, like abbreviated spelling and or bad spelling, on those threads it's what you people are use to, when I see threads like that I don't complain, its your thing not mine so I just leave.

Here at AD even though we are not perfect, I don't think most AD members want to or will tolerate those kind of posts, in other words it's not our thing, meaning if you don't like it leave, and I don't mean that in a harsh way, I mean if a mod or a member jump on you don't get offended, it's just the way AD is, AD even has some rules I don't like but I either obide or get off.

But in no way did I want to offend you, hey maybe you really can't spell properly, and in no way do I look down opon that, there are a lot of things you can do way better than myself so who am I to judge, but what I just explained to you, you cannot fault anybody in making a comment to you, not to be nasty, just to let you know how things are here, and if I'm still wrong about my explanation, well than it looks like I'm the dummy and you have my most sincere apology.

does this have anything to do with backing up one's DVD's. or is this perfectharmony.com in disguise??? But seriously, I think this is beginning to sound more like a soap opera than a place to get help, unless you plan on die-ing your hair, ROFLMAO......
just my 2 cents worth. I guess this weeks movies have no issues for this to continue on and on and.........ad nauseum
When things boil down to arguments about spelling I think it's definately time to move onward and upward as they say.
