I just did a backup image of Rugby 2006 with DVD Decryptor and burned it with ImgBurn and I have it running perfectly on my ps2 with Swap Magic 3.6 USA version.

I have now burned 3 copys of Rugby and it goes for a 5 mins before it stops reading the disc :/
Sometimes it loads straight away and sometimes it doesnt.. all my other games load fine.. but this rugby is on a different brand of disc. Could the make of discs be the problem?

Im planning on making a website for PS2 users and swap loading. I find swap magic fix to be a lame site.
does anyone here think its a good idea?
I plan to list all PS2 titles with specific notes under swap magic 2.0, 3.3, 3.6 and requirements.
Video games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching on pills, and listening to repetitive music...

this question has been answered so much. You can't make a backup of swap magic that will work(well technecially you can but you would need a modchip or some other way to start the backup but that would defeat the purpose of using swap magic).

I've tried to burn NFL Street 2, but my burnt game freezes when it loads back to the main screen. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks

I'd suggest u just use better media or burn slower. I backed up NFL Street 2 and it works perfect. I've even patched it so it can go online and play online perfect too.

I just got my JP copy in the mail today, and tried booting it up with a SCPH 3500 and a SCPH 1000 to no success with Magic Swap v.3.6 and a slide tool. I keep getting the: Not a valid PS2 disc error.
Is there a patch that I'm missing? Would a straight-up solder mod chip fix this?

Kind of surprised that this thread is still alive (and somewhat well) a year after its creation, but hey! That must be a good thing. In any case, as you can tell from the stats, pretty much any game (as long as it's not a dual-layer DVD9) seems to work with Swap Magic 3.3 and beyond, so I figured updating wasn't too crucial, since it only reinforces a point we already know.
Anyway, since people still seem to be referring to the list, I'll dig out some backups and update accordingly -- just give me some time to do so. As for Streetfighter Anniversary, I have no idea why it's not working for you; all I know is that the NTSC-USA version works for me with the NTSC-USA Swap Magic 3.3 discs.

If you're talking about Echelon's version of NFL Street volume 2, it's flawed and doesn't work due to some intro they thought they would cleverly insert. Making it work involved either a crackfix or rebuilding, though I don't remember the specifics.
Backing up your retail version, however, won't give you any of these problems.
As for Rugby '06, the brand of disc is almost certainly the problem if it doesn't work. There are ways to test such things (which I would highly recommend since I do it myself for every backup I burn), but a general rule of thumb is to stick with the particular media that works for you. With DVDRs and drives, a particular media can make a world of difference in terms of errors (and hence readability). In fact, 99% of all problems involving "nonworking" games (or unnecessary rebuilding) for people can probably be attributed to media issues.

To my knowledge, Final Fantasy XII (JAP) works just fine on the Swap Magic discs, but it requires a quality burn on good media, otherwise problems like black screens may arise. Rogue Galaxy (JAP) also works fine, from what I hear.
Added a new (and lone) problem game to the fold: Rugby League 2 (PAL), which seems to incorporate some interesting copy protection which prevents nonoriginal copies from working (doesn't work with HD, Swap Magic, or modchips). I hear there is a working cracked release from STRiKE, but not having seen it myself, I'll simply put Rugby League 2 in the nonworking section. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be popular enough for people to work on patches for it, so don't expect one any time soon.

Hello everyone, new here.
Pretense you have Neogeo battle Coliseum (Jap) as working on your list there in the first page. For some reason I cant get the Back up game to load up.The original works fine (with awful load times) but nothing with the back up. Is there anyway to get around this? I'm using swap magic 3.3 and 3.6 and I've used Alcahol 120 and Nero for ripping and burning.
Thanks
