+RW dont work on ps2's, use +r, if that doesnt work, buy a better burner that support either +r booktyping to DVD-ROM or just supports -r burning.

In general it's usually better to use DVD-Rs when burning PS2 games because they have better compatibility across all PS2 versions. With better media you'll put less strain on the laser and will have higher success rates when burning. Also, it is important that your drives firmware is up-to-date. New versions add support for newer media and improve compatibility / burn quality with existing ones. Additionally, there's the new features and bug fixes you'd expect with any bit of software (which is basically what firmware is).
Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs are considered to be some of the best among enthusiasts due to their high quality burns, low failure rates, and media longevity. They are also used by drive manufacturers and Sony PlayStation developers. Verbatim, Phillips, and Sony AccuCores (made in Japan) are also very good. You can purchase media from an online retailer such as http://www.supermediastore.com.

Hiya guys, wassup?
I have a problem with my ps2. My cousin gave it to me, and it was modded. When I got it, it was playing all the copied ps2 games. After some weeks, it stopped playing all of them and plays only some. I can't figure out the problem. The games that don't work only give me the black screen of death. How can I solve it? Is it difficult to fix it?
Also, I don't know what mod chip I have. How can I see my modchip (well, if it isn't difficult for you I would appreciate a way not to open the ps2 because I may do any mistake and bam! there goes the ps2).
Thanks in advance

Hi SHCS
But you did not use Gnie expert yet ;o( ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
One good thing i started a new Tread here at afterDawn name: (most easy ps2 backup game ever for newbies)
visit this tread and check the user list and i d'like you comment a user who did a back up with (double agent) but probably he seem not understand that i mentionned back up game, who work with swap magic and not with mod chip! or ..... he did it and he will tell us how to do it ;o)
I will try to ask him in 10 minutes.
Svstang
you can visit my tread too svstang, your comment are always welcome!

After it finishes burning, you take the DVD out of the drive and put it in your PS2. :)

LMAO!! your joking right? Well, actually after that you whip out "A Catcher in the Rye," read the first 200 pages, get bored as hell, then do something out. After your done doing whatever else, you stick the game into your ps2 and play the damn game. Were you expecting a different answer from what myself and Orthogonl provided? If so, please do tell, i need a laugh!

no offence, but all of your questions are ridiculous, if you would read the title ("YOU MUST USE A MODCHIP"), that is one of your questions answered. And if you would've read the first page, the second post tells you how to create a backup. And finally it is just common sense you take the game out and play it.
All of your questions are answered in previous pages, all you need to do is read.
P.S Listen to svtstang, PROBLEMS and all of the other experienced people (e.g Afterdawn Addicts and Members)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

hey everyone... when i use DVD Decrypter to burn a movie (Accepted), it reads it fine, but when i go 2 write it, it says there are too many sectors and that it wouldnt be able to fit on my disc.. but my disc holds 120 minutes of video, and Accepted is only 93 minutes.. my discs are HP DVD-R 16X. Can someone please help? is my disc not big enough, and if it is too big, can u recommend good quality discs?
