Quick way to copy a game. Assuming you have the original game dvd and want to back it up.
step#1
open dvd decryptor then go to MODE>ISO>READ and then it will copy the game and make an iso file on your pc hdd.
Step#2
when that finishes go to MODE>ISO>WRITE and then select the iso file that decryptor just maade. It will burn the file to the dvd and presto you are done.
Simple as that.

swap magic is all you, plus a means of covering the senors or tricking the ps2 into thinking the tray isnt being ejected while swapping. You can accomplish this with either an aftermarket fliptop, magic keys or slide card. I use a flip top, works perfect. Or if you dont want to spend cash on any of those, google "tape and tissue mod", this will work well also and best of all is free:)
@ddp
yeah im sure they are not all his, only half :p
EDIT
Here is a link on how to do the tape and tissue mod http://www.geocities.com/pstwoslimline/tapetissue.htm

Hi svtstang and shcs
sorry couln't tried (double agent) back up yet cause i get car broken (lost balljoint on my right car wheel)on the road but no accident and i fix it by myself like usually ;o) not because i am stingy ;o) just money!
But i will try to do my back up next tuesday for the third test ;o)
I read svtstang thread for using Tape and tissue with swap magic disc !
Yes it's work great if you use Doc tape quality brand because when your console will running much than 6 hours the glue of poor quality Tape will stop sticky and the switch will back off.
ps: if i really understand what FRETS Says!
He want peoples answer the A TO Z without Judgement if he is newbee here or not.
He's point is not false i am frustrate too to never get the right answer A to Z through internet.
But i imagine svtstang who know how to use afterdawn with his eyes close without any problem,i am sure he become boring that peoples they didn't know how to use afterdawn like we supose to do.
afterdawn need! some level! for dummy, super newbee, neebee, melting pot, patented, avanced, pro, engineering,Einstein level ;o) ect...
yes i know my english level is Dummy ;o)
so have a nice weekend everybody
help each other is very important.

@ joe
wow reading your post gave me a headache, it only made a little bit of sense
its not that people dont want to help, the issue is the questions that are being asked are already answered in the thread 95% of the time. honestly their shouldnt be any A-Z questions being asked, if someone has that question they just need to read and most of the time one would find the answeres for themselves
the best way to learn something is to do it yourself. the reason i get pissed is because the info is right infront of you and people still wont take the time to look, sad part is, almost every page in this thread ends up being a repeat of previous pages so when someone asks a question that JUST got answered it tends to set people off and only prove the point even more that people are not reading at all, if people just want the easy answere then why dont we just do house calls and burn it for them, it is time to cut the cord and stand on their own two feet, TRIAL BY ERROR.
but that is my point of view

Hi
I find a solution for peoples who search the right answer here on afterdawn without repeat a milions of times !
Next time! If someone (usually a new memebers)asked a question and we already knew his answer exist somewhere on afterdawn, we just have to give him the exact link: and i am sure he will thank us and everybody will be happy :o)
Frustrate peoples it's not good! Life is already super stressfull and imagine this men work in an hospital, probably he will do a bad job and a patient will suffer, because he will become angry about us and humanity.
ps:thank you for translate what i tried to explain in a short sentense, i appreciate :o)
ps: Thank you Problem.

I used to use Memorex for my PS2 backups a long time ago hahaha. I'm sure glad I got Taiyo Yuden and Ritek. As for my other Memorex DVDs, I will try to sell those on eBay :P.

Yeah the CMC Mag will fubar the laser if you use it enough. I checked the code on the Riteks I just got, and they are G05. Though some have said that they aren't as good as they used to be, but maybe some batches, not all.

Hey shcs, wayneski is just making sure to understand
There are a few ways to play backups, a modchip being the easiest. With a modchip, you just put your copied game in like a normal PS2 game and it loads. Modchips also have more features, depending on which one you choose, that is.

shcs has a point. Picking any page at random, or better yet, reading the damn title of the thread, would answer that question, and help me avoid an unneeded migraine.
Best mod methods in order.
1.Mod Chip
2.Swap Magic
3.AR disks (dont ask me which version, I forget)
4.Memory card exploit (this is more trouble then it is worth)
There are others methods like HD Advance, but the compatibility is questionable and not recommended. Stick with Swap Magic 3.6 or a genuine mod chip.

Hi guys, i have tried to use dvd decryptor to burn my ps2 games using the exact instructions on the very few first pages of this thread but its not working. It starts reading the disc and making the iso on my computer, but when thats gets to about 14% it all of a sudden reads at 22kb/ps and the time left says unknown, meaning its going to take a very long time. However the first 14% it reads at like, 2,300 kb/ps, then all of a sudden it practically stops. Can anybody help me? Why does this happen? I am going to try and use the program Alcohol 120% now, see how that goes. Thanks
