umm i'm wondering if there's any other mame emulator for ps2 other than ps2mame. I want an emulator for mame that can run more complex games like kof and the mk series ie.90's games . I have heard of the xmame for ps2 but i think that that emulator is only for Linux PS2 and i don't have that kit, plus i don't think they sell it anymore.

The NEO GEO CD Emulator disk is working perfectly, Thank you, but the game doesn't have sound (Double Dragon).
I did everything the way you told me, Track 1 is the .iso file and i burn it but the game has no sound... What can i do?

it was asked before where's a good site to download roms, well this site is pretty good, they give you play money, and you can use that money daily, it keeps recharging everyday, i'm pretty sure about that, anyway, the've got just about everygame out for just about every old school system, check it out, the website is http://www.dgemu.com/

Here is a site with loads of ROMS for emulators, if the site appears in russian, just click the british flag on the right hand side.

neo geo cd emulator for ps2 doesn't support sound and music. sorry mostly all neo geo cd roms will have no background sound.

here the guide for burning the pgen v1.2 emulator to cd or dvd
burning it on cd-r
*nero burning rom
*the emulator call PGEN v1.2
frist make a folder call roms and place your sega genesis in.
second open up Nero burning rom and setup the setting like this
*CD-Rom(UDF/ISO)
*ISO
File name length:Max of 31 chars(ISO level 2)
Formant:Mode 2/XA
Character set: ISO9660 (standing ISO Cd-rom)
*Burn
make the speed at least 4x or 8x the most when your done click New
ok it time to drag the files you need here the list you should have on the left side
*Roms (the folder you made to place the roms in)
*PGEN_12.elf
*System
onece you place them just burn it
burning it on dvd-+r
*nero burning rom
*the emulator call PGEN v1.2

I have a question? Is it possible to put more than on emulator on a disk and select which one you want to start. also i have a modded ps2 so i can play cd-r's

yes it is,i have a copy with variuos emu's on it,only 2 of them work though as the maker messed up the main elf file
i got it from newsgroups
intel P4 660,2048mb ram,2 X 400gb sata HDD,2 x pioneer cd/dvd combo drives...

Hi Guys (and Girls...hopefully), just signed in to this forum which I think is really great. Um, I've been reading these past few posts/threads, but I still don't understand a few things and I need some help if anyone is willing. About the PGEN 1.2/PS2Mame emu for the PS2, I'd like to find out if...
-You need a boot disk for this emulator(My Slimline is modified)
-if one need to install the roms/emulator on the PS2 hard disk(Which I do not have..I think)
-is there a manual for burning roms ect. using Nero StartSmart/Nero Express 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanx.

You need a boot disk for this emulator(My Slimline is modified)? Yes you need a bootdisk call swap magic but if your ps2 is modified and reads dvd+-r and cd-r you don't need the swap magic.
-if one need to install the roms/emulator on the PS2 hard disk(Which I do not have..I think)? if you mean by putting the emulator with roms into the harddrive no you don't have to you can burn it on a blank dvd or a cd-r

Speakin of Emus..
There is a Nes rom called 190in 1 (it has 190 games in one cartridge)
I cant find it anywhere online.... all of them are fake and has like 10 games repeating forever.
I happen to have the original cartridge that works cuz i used to play it on my famicom when i was little. And its not the fake cuz it has 190 games for reals. Anyone know how ppl make actual cartridges into rom files? I would like to know.
Mods... if this is violating a forum rule (piracy) then dont ban/suspend me as i know not better. Just delete it. Sorry in advance.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

i just spend like 2 hours reading all 15+ pages.
maybe I missed something, because I am still stuck.
My setup is PS2 with fliptop & swap magic 3.6 disks
The DVD swapmagic works fine with backups on DVD+R,
but for some reason the swapmagic CD disk doesnt load.
It wasnt a big deal since I have few backups with CD format.
I am trying to get my MAME Roms to play on PS2. I got PS2 mame and followed instructions at http://www.richpsx.com/playstation2/utilities/ps2mame.html
burned in ISO format to DVD+R and 2nd attempt to CD-R.
I read about some boot swapper that was supposed to allow you to boot with Magic DVD disc and play CD-R's. Well that didnt work either.
Though it could be easier to buy a joystick and play on PC, I want the full size of TV monitor, and the ability to take with me wherever the PS2 goes.(not a cheezy laptop).
If anyone has successfully got MAME to work on PS2 please post details. Thanks.

What programs and methods?
CD or DVD swapper?
What burning software?
appreciate it is someone that gets Mame on PS2 to work, could actually say HOW they did it.
