When I connect to the ExecFTP server, I can see files without extensions called "__boot", "__mbr", and lot others... Aren't those harddisk partitions? Why do I see them like files?
Do I need to create another partition to be able to upload game isos to the HD? or it's possible to upload them to the HD root?

What exacitally do you want to do! As soon as you connect to PS2 you should see 3 dir. If you installed MC exploit correctly you should see MC folder, followed by 0 folder then you MC folders. Yes you should see them like files! Why>?

This is different. No, you don't need to create another partition. If you want to FTP iso images you can't use ExecFTP for that, you have to use something like FAPLink which is a program that will send via FTP ISO Images(Games)Directly to your HD on your PS2. It creates it's own partitions :-)

Im sure alot of ppl have the same question as me. Is there a way to run emulators off the HDD using USBextreme? Like to somehow download the emulator and then putting it directly into an external HDD connected to windows and then have it run with the USBextreme start up disc on ur ps2. Or do i need to make an iso and copy it to the HDD just like i copy games into the HDD with the USBextreme installation program?

Hey, I already have SNES Station with about 500 roms, and it works fine. I want to do the same with a Sega Genesis emulator. I will get the ROMS from EmuAsylum, but which emulator should I use? I think the only Genesis emulators for the PS2 that I know of are Sega Genesis Master and PGEN... which is better, or is there a better one that I don't know of? Thanks.

I was wondering is Swap Disc Magic 3 would run these emulators since I'm too poor to get a mod installed. Also would swap disc play Korean and Japanese games? Thanks for the help.

Yeah, you can use swap magic to boot your disk containing the emulator and roms. Anyways, which Sega Genesis emulator for the PS2 should I use?

Thanks, I got PGEN. Now I just have to get some ROMs, but I know where.
Are there any sega saturn emulators for the ps2? That would be pretty awesome... and I'm pretty sure I saw MAME arcade emulators for it. Is MAME any good? Let me know. Thanks.

Yes MAME is just as good as PGen only Arcade Roms :-)
It's a little more troublesome to get to work making list and all, but I recomend it.

Ok First one inline lol, :-)
As far as I know man the only way you can get NES or SNES Roms to PLAY on your PSTwo is to have sort of Swap Method "Swap Magic" or Chip to Play Backed Up Images or Files of Roms using NES or SNES Station Emulators on a CD or DVD. Thier is a PSTwo Slim Case that you can buy that will give you access to an External HD like so:
Which will enable you to play roms straight off your HD like PGen "SEGA Genesis Roms" As of right know their hasn't been a patch or anything that will be able to play SNES Station Roms from your HD. But I know somebody that's working on it. :P
Other than that this is the only known way and anybody can correct me, that I know to put an IDE base Onto your PSTwo which you'll have to change your PSTwo casing. Other than this, I'm sorry man but you will not be able to play any roms "unless you MOD your PSTwo." Hope this helps,

Yeah man! The SMS Format Tool is Used to Create a Partition on your HD and the SMS Dump Tool, dumps or records your ROMS ("MAME or PGen") onto that Partion made my SMS Format Tool. This tool is free on the net :-)
They also have SMS Explorer Tool that is used to Navigate your Applications or Roms running directly off your HD!

Well unfortunately not all roms work correctly on all systems. It also depends man on your current Video/Graphic settings of your PC/Monitor and what video card you got/ and what emulator version U use. I have a friend of mine and he has a PII 600MHZ running an ATI 128 Rage Furry Pro and he can Run all MAME/PGen Roms !
In the other hand I have a Gforce 5500 FX 128mb and I can't run all Roms Some have glitches ;(

if your talking about running mame from the computer then i have no problem with that i saying on the ps2 Version games like marvel vs capcom and marvel vs street fighter, street fighter alpha1,2,3 the mame load fine it just the games i see that it says 600 roms on your sig what games are you running on mame are they old ones or the newer ones like the ones i just mention so im asking out of the 600 roms you have do they all work on mame for ps2

Whats the best emulator to play genesis games on ur ps2 with out the hardrive? I use imbnes for the ps1 just burned onto a cd-r would that work with a sega emulator on ps2?
