Yeah connector block is fully pushed in. Just has 0000 on the display when on the easy installation screen
so the remote is not working if you scroll down to the bottom and select auto scan press harder on the remote as they are new and can be stiff to use

A handy way to test the batteries and Remote Control is to look at it using a digital or phone camera .Point it at the camera then press the keys . You should see the Remote Control LED flashing in the screen of the camera.

have you any splitters on your cable ??

what is the signal strenght on the jumping channel press the info button when on the channel

try moving the connection to the bottom one and see will that help

also you have not said if you are using a splitter on your cable ?

fergus or anybody that can help im havin a problem just tryin to download data but stb editor keeps sayin........................... cant open serial port 1 please check if comport has the following parameters bourdrate:115200bps, parity : no parity, data byte :8 data/data, stop bit: 1..... if sombody could explain where im goin wrong.... or how many things im doin wrong,???? i would be really greatfull for your help.....!

make sure you have the right number on the loader as your comport is assigned to check this

also make sure your box is switched off at the back before you press the download button then switch on

On your PC, do the following.

START

Right click MY Computer

Choose MANAGE from the list

Click on DEVICE MANAGER (in the lefthand pane)

Click on the little plus sign beside "Ports (COM & LPT) in the righthand pane

Right click "Communications Port (COM1) & choose PROPERTIES

Click on the "Port Settings" TAB

Set the port settings as follows,

It will work on either ferg.

It's just a slightly slower transfer rate (less chance of corruption)

quiet with all the starviews etc all gone now only 1 box left so not much competition any more so less work
