I burned the game.. but sometimes it says insert the disc and close...
A lot of people have that problem... what I need to do??
and by the way.. IOMEGA DVD-R is good?

bully works just fine for me using 3.6 no rebuild no zoneloader haven played much
burnt to g05 @ 4x

ok let me get this 100% straight before i burn:
Swap Magic 3.6 - Doesnt work
Swap Magic 2.0 - Works
To work with Swap Magic 3.6 you have to use ZoneLoader as like another Swap Magic disc...rebuilding does not work. Burn as normal?
^^That all correct?
Also is it the same with Scarface?
also i've got the "PS2 ZONELOADER BETA V0.5" from ps2nfo.com does that work?

Wow man you didnt read it at all.......me, boobooman and ace ALL have it WORKING uisng 3.6, GOOD MEDIA and NOT USING ZONELOADER! Peeps it really isnt that hard to backup this game......same process as any other game backup.

Worked perfectly for me too, DVD Decrypter on a sony -r at X4. No zone loader or any other bootdisc except for swap magic 3.6

First off I luv taiyo yuden I have over 200 PS2 games working on them with Swap Magic 3.6. Bully was the 1st game that gave me problems. Game Froze wouldn't boot. Then I used Maxell and burned with Nero and works fine. I played 4 over an hour with no problems. So just try different media if it doesn't work 4 you.

Yeah, I have problems with Bully too. I burned the ISO on a Verbatim 16X Disc at 1x. Took almost an hour to finish. I used Swap Magic 3.6 to boot the game and it worked staight away. But the load times are long, you can hear the laser stressing too much, and the music in the background skips a lot. Even when they speak.
This sounds more like a bad quality media problem. But it's impossible since I burned it using a genuine Verbatim Disc.
Anyone knows what's wrong with this game?

Well I certainly don't experience any long loading times, or skipping audio, or laser stress.
But burning on a 16x media at only 1x would certainly go a long way to explaining why you'd get those problems!
The recommended speed to burn at is 1/2 the disc's max speed. ie: 8x on a 16x disc - but to be honest, I wouldn't use 16x discs for PS2 backups, I'd go for 8x max speed discs.

I need help..
I tried to use ArMax with Infinite Health code but when I insert the game (my ps2 is a slimline ps2), the pS2 don't read the game.. and keep saying "insert the cd and press ok to play"..
for the people who tried to use codes, that happened to you with your backups???

I use SM 3.6, and TY media. Works flawlessly. I've only gone through about 10 % of the game (it's an awesome game), but I did not have a single issue with the game. I have a v12 PS2. It was a straight burn using DVD Decrypter at 2.4 x burn speed.

I used surprisingly a Maxell DVD+R and and burned it at 4x with dvd decrpyter and it worked flawlessly. No long load times or skipping just played well. I used swap magic 3.6.

I am having exactly the same problem as Homer_89 - long loading times, skipping audio, continual freezing. Burned (various speeds) on Decrypter using Ridata media.
I have heard burning on x1 using ImgBurn - does this work?

LOL no...burning at 1X will cause the same amount of problems as burning at 16X with a 16X disk.....this game is a simple 1:1 backup, if it doesnt work you are either not buring it right, or your media is total garbage, no other factors with this one.

eventually got around to testing this game,and am experiencing the same problems as most other users,insert disk during game play/skipping audio
heard there was problemo with a certain release,
going to test on different media,just to see.

svtstang > you have contributed a lot to this thread so you really should realise that there is a lot of conflicting information about Bully, for example people burning it in exactly the same with the same media, with varying results..
If there were absolutely no problems with this game then the thread wouldn't be 3 pages long would it? :)
hursty> you're with me, you're struggling as well. Let us know how you get on testing with other media. In the meantime, I will try this Zoneloader program, see if that helps.

first burn was using infinity disk with mcc dye with Alcohol 120
just tested on DVD-R verbatim disk with ty02 dye,burnt with decrypter,games now runs smoother.
although the ps2 sounds at times,it is doing a royal ballet dance..lots of clicking,re-reading of the disk
so it seems the media issue pops up again,however,i have used quite a few hundred of those disks,and this is the first problem i have come across,in a long time.
another suggestion i would make would be to try a DVD+R disk
these type of games that read constantly off the disk,run better on these disks for some reason.

Cheers for the info. Just out of interest, how big is your image of Bully? I am using Swap Magic 3.6, and my Bully image is over 4.6gig - does this mean I need to use Zoneloader? (as I have heard you cannot rebuild this game)
